I'm Dan, I live in western NY. I have loved the jags since 1996 when they went on that winning streak and almost made it to the superbowl. I was also looking for a new team to root for at the time since Buffalo just got done losing 4 straight superbowls. And low and behold 1995 two new teams arrive. I've been to 2 bills- jags games in buffalo, 1998 and 2006, and Jacksonville managed to lose both of those games in the final seconds.

NFL.com's latest mock draft

This would definitely be nice. I haven't seen any other mock draft connect us with him yet, probably because he will be off the board before we pick, but it's still a nice thought. In my opinion this would most likely fix two positions at once. Check it out.

The Jaguars may benefit most from the fact that a delay hurts two of its division foes, the Texans and Titans. Jacksonville’s seen very little change on Jack Del Rio’s staff and won’t have substantial player turnover. Gene Smith wants to be a draft-first team, and it appears it’ll be a draft-first league. And when the team still has holes after the end of April, it will be ready to add at least a few veteran free agents if and when that market opens. QB David Garrard has spoken candidly about arranging workouts, and he can score big in the leadership department if he leads a successful campaign and has guys ready when things are settled.

Wow, I think I forgot just how good Donovin really was! A nice collection of great plays by Donovin Darius. With his recent signing of a one day contract to retire a jag, I thought this would be a good time to post this. If you forgot how great a player he was too, this should help refresh your memory.

Ask Vic on packers.com has just launched

If any of you die-hard "ask vic" people (like me) want to continue to send Vic questions, it looks like the questionnaire is up and running on packers.com.

For those interested, on Feb. 4th Vic posted his first article on packers.com.

Ernest Wilford tasered, arrested

10

Maybe Wilford isn't the good guy like I thought he was. Looks like he got too drunk, grabbed some women and tried to avoid arrest. He won't be coming back for a 3rd or 4th stint (whichever it is now).

Jones-Drew has sucessful knee surgery

Maurice Jones-Drew has had successful knee surgery, and is expected to be fully recovered in time for the 2011 season.

Should you be seeking something to give you hope for the future and to ease the pain of a season that teased you into believing and then turned that belief once again into regret, bear in mind that your team was the only team in the AFC South that improved on its record from the previous year. -Vic Ketchman

LMAO Middleton fined.

The NFL is seriously a joke now a days. They better change some rules this offseason or they are lose a lot of diehard fans. And to think this almost cost us the game when we should have gone up two scores...

Dear Tennessee Titans: How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways: 1. You ruin my teams chances of going to the super bowl in 1999 and after winning for a 2nd time in Jacksonville, and after the AFC Championship game your coach declares then Alltell Stadium his second home. 2. Your then "All-Star" defensive tackle feels the need to stomp on a guys face after he loses his helmet. 3. Your "classy" owner flicks off the opposing teams sideline after blowing them out. Very sportsmanlike move. 4. Not learning from their mistakes, their defensive coordinator flicks off the refs after a call doesn't go his way. 5. Their running back and linebacker decided to stomp the steelers terrible towel, (which only backfired for them as they lost to the steelers in the playoffs and then went 0-6 the following season.) 6. Chris Johnson feels the need to run practically across the entire field just to stand on the Cowboys star to celebrate his touchdown. Me me me me. It's all about me.

Karim ready, finally!

Deji Karim, who suffered a thumb injury when he fell on it with the ball in his hand in the second preseason game, is expected to play Sunday after sitting out six weeks.

Possible stop gap at safety?

More fuel for the fire "And the story only continues this Sunday in Jacksonville, Fla., Tebow’s hometown, where serendipity has the Broncos playing the season’s first game just 1 ½ hours from Gainsville, where Tebow won a Heisman Trophy and the Florida Gators were the 2006 and 2008 national champions. Tebow might not even play. If he does it will be for only a few moments. And yet the game is all but sold out in a stadium that was sold out just once for an NFL game last season. Sports radio is filled with callers who wonder why the Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t draft the quarterback who they are certain would have become the franchise’s savior in Northeast Florida." Please tell Byron Leftwich to shut his mouth. That guy lives in fantasy land. The reality? He was average at best. I don't care about stats. If you watched him week to week while he was the starter here in town, like I did, he would make you pull your hair out. He was tough, could take a hit, but he would disappoint you more than not. For example, his 15-yard out throw would never be consistent. He would throw it 10 yards over the receiver's head or five yards on the ground in front of the target. His five-yard slant? Back hip, too high, you never knew. The touch pass? Ha. The dude didn't have any touch. Had some good games, made some great throws, but overall, he wasn't accurate at all. That's why Shack [Harris] drafted these big target receivers so he could make it easier for Byron, which didn't help. Like a lot of young guys, Byron needs to look in the mirror. He never changed his mechanics, even after they tried to early in his career, to make himself better. He thought he was way better than he was. Showing up on the red carpet at the Kentucky Derby, with shades on nonetheless, that's laughable. Only big time athletes/celebrities are supposed to do that, something Byron was not even close too. Alualu contract talks heating up

The jaguars have made a 5 year proposal and are waiting on a counteroffer from Alualu's agent, Kenny Zuckerman.

Keeping track of 1st round signings

NFL.com has a nice 1st round pick signing info page, to give everyone an idea of what's going on around Alualu. Edit: Also, they still have Alualu listed as a DE, which is so great, they know absolutely nothing about this team...

NY Times breaks down this years Jags

Andy Benoit from the NY Times goes position by position with this years team, and has something very interesting to say about LBs Russel Allen and Kirk Morrison. Check it out and post a comment about what you guys think.

I don't think anyone posted this yet so here it is. NFL.com looks at the jags. Enjoy.

Seattle shows Reggie Williams the door, already.

2

The seahawks have already cut former Jaguar wideout Reggie Williams after he was apparently "less impressive than Mike Williams, the former first-round bust of the Detroit Lions who was also given a second chance." wow, really makes me wonder just how far we've come as far as wide receiver talent since 2008.
