Buyers, sellers, and the third option...
The talk since the ASB has been heavily focused on if the Tigers should be buyers or sellers. A one man, unscientific survery of local media leaves me with the feeling that the balance is on the "sellers" side, both with the fans and the talking heads.
Most of the argument for the Tigers as sellers centers around the idea that they need more than one bat to solidify a Central Division title and playoff spot. Since it's unlikely that they could get multiple impact bats when there are a lot of teams looking for the same thing, they should throw in the towel on the season and sell.
Putting aside the point that the argument is based on the Tigers offense being a collection of mid-grade or sad-sack bats (which one would think would be hard to move for much), they seem to ignore a third option. Don't buy or sell (much), stand pat
