Dawgs By Nature Bill Cowher Rumor

Good news out of http://www.profootballtalk.com/

It reads that the Browns are pursuing Cowher and willing to pony up $8-$9 million per year to get him here.  Of course this would mean handing over personnel decisions as well, and the end of the Savage era in Cleveland.  If this means getting Cowher in here, then I am all for it.  God would I love that guy on the sideline.  We will see some fire for once!

Dawgs By Nature Monday Night Reaction

So what does everyone think about last night's game?  I saw alot of bad, but at the end of the day, I'll take a win any way we can get it.   Brady played fairly well.  It was frigid,  very hostile environment, a pretty good defense.  He didn't make a game-changing mistake, and made the throw's when necessary.  Most importantly, Quinn has shown pocket presence and the ability to lead his team with confidence.  He has shown more poise after only 2 games than Anderson did after a year at the helm.  Not ready to crown him yet, but he has shown me something the first two games.

Defensively, the secondary played much better.  Maybe that has something to do with dropping 8 into coverage the majority of the game and the fact Trent Edwards was throwing the ball, but it was nice to see them bounce back after getting torched two weeks in a row.  Dropping 8 caused our pass rush to suffer.  I would do anything for a Terrell Suggs or James Harrison type.  The defense has 1 playmaker (Rodgers), when good defenses have at least 4.  We have a ways to go on that side of the ball.

What is everyone thinking this day after a sloppy, but much needed W?

Dawgs By Nature Bleeding Brown and Pumpkin Orange

Here we are again, 3-6, high hopes dashed, expectations not met, and underperfomance is once again the norm.  As we watch this week after week, and we tear our hearts out with each first down the opposition gets, and root over-enthusiaticly for each one we gain, there is one constant, that this team lets us down.

If you are visting this site you are a Browns fan for life, and as much as you threaten never going back to games, or insist change, at the end of the day, you will be there for this team.  It is what makes us the best fans in the league, the loyalty that has been driven into our blood by Bernie Kosar, Jim Brown, Brian Sipe, Ozzie Newsome, Eric Metcalf, Michael Dean Perry, just to name a few.  We are Browns fans, and when the poise of Brady Quinn, and the heart of Josh Cribbs, and the drafts of Phil Savage lead us to consistent winning, we will be there stronger than ever. But once again we are left with a losing team, so keep rooting boys, because our time will come, even though it seems like it never will.

All we ask is the boys on the field keep giving there all, because we sure as fu*k are as fans.
