Since i believe this trade, as well as the others is based on playing time and performance here are his stats.

I believe the expected pick is a 4th to 5th rounder.

Atlanta Falcons to Denver Broncos:

This deal is for a 7th rounder but i believe if he reaches the goal then it would be a 6th rounder. His stats are...

Seattle Seahawks to Denver Broncos:

The Seattle Seahawks traded a fifth-round draft pick in 2009 to the Denver Broncos in return for wide receiver Keary Colbert. The pick could have been upgraded to a fourth-round pick in 2009 depending on Colbert's playing time with the Seahawks. Colbert was released by the Seahawks mid-season. Link.

This one is spelled out, a 5th rounder that could have gone to a 4th rounder, but since he was released i believe that either the 5th rounder gets traded or the deal is off.

If you guys have some info/details related to any of this please tell me.

Economic Effect on the NFL

Here’s an idea. The economy has hit everyone hard, and I believe I may have a solution to some of the problems. The NFL needs to boot Oakland and Detroit. Take it back down to 30 teams.

A Little Defense

First let me start by saying this is not about our defense in the manner you might suspect. I was actually hoping for a little information from people closer to Denver than myself. I read this article.

It highlights how we "cheated" to slow down the pace of the game, i thought it was odd we lost so many players in a row (i think it was three straight plays). But what gets me is that they cited the Rocky Mountain News but i searched the site and nothing came up with that quote either search "Brett Favre" and "vet move" and found nothing. The only conclusions i can come to are:

A. It was just in the print version of the paper. Or...

B. They made this quote but since this does not appear to be a "professional publication", ie Washington Post, Rocky Mountain News, Wall Street Journal, etc.

I was hoping that you all could provide me with information relevant to this from a slightly more legitimate source or discredit it completely. Because for A. to work this would have to be news that isnt extremely important and wouldnt be put online as well as print and if it were true it seems like it would be.

Bailey Might Actually Get Thrown At

Another fan brought this up and i wanted your opinions on this. With us playing a team with a polarizing player like Randy Moss it is very likely that Champ might actually get thrown at this week. Do you guys think this will give him a chance to prove to everyone that he is the best CB in the league or do you think that Cassel will still avoid him and not throw to Randy.

Defensive Test

Alright, we are 3-0 everybody is jumping for joy, right?
No? Well why not?
Because we have given up about 1000 yards and 70 points last week says Bill Williamson.

As he points out we are going to be playing the Chiefs next week which should make our defense look good, even if just for one week. Looking at the NFL Standings page, you can see that the Chiefs are a mediocre offense at best, scoring only 32 points in three games, while allowing only a few less points (78) than we have (84).

What this means is that if we allow 30+ points to them then we are in for a long season, but if we can shut them down then there is some hope. As it stands now we give up more points than any other team in the AFC and only two teams in the NFL (Lions and Rams) have given up more points, both of them are 0-3. However, we are near the top of the league in Net Points (30).

He was a great kicker for us but i think we might have made the right decision in letting him go. I am watching the Titans/Falcons game on NFL Network and he missed a 33 yard FG. I dont think he has the ability anymore. His stats arent that impressive from the preseason. Also i was reading the game review from NFL.com and i noticed this fact.

Smith didn't send kicker Jason Elam on the field for a potential tying 39-yard field goal attempt.

Maybe it is nothing and im sure coaches down want OT in a preseason game but it seems suspicous to me. Please feel free to blast me but i just wanted to mention it. And dont get me wrong, Jason was a great kicker, but no one lasts forever.

One note by Eddie Royal, a rookie receiver with the Broncos, said his mother was his best friend. To even things out, Pearl Royal laughed when she found another note complaining that she took Eddie's brother Chris to football practice and didn't take him.

Eddie Royal was always religious, and Pearl Royal found some notes to God. One pleaded, "Make me tall. Make me strong." Royal never became exceptionally tall or big. At 5-foot-10, 182 pounds, he is considered small for a NFL receiver. But his small stature didn't matter in high school or in college at Virginia Tech, and it didn't stop him from moving up the depth chart in Denver. Last week he became the first rookie receiver in Broncos history to start a preseason opener. He should start again today vs. Green Bay.

"I found a picture he had of this cat looking in a mirror, and he sees a lion," Pearl Royal said. "That's what he sees himself as, the strong one." Royal overcompensated for any physical shortcomings. He worked hard and was always mature for his age, back to when he was writing the notes to himself.
