Cutler trade and HUGE implications
So, Cutler is officially a Bear. This doesn't affect us as much as the first rounder Denver received does. So, Denver now has two first round picks and a vacancy at QB.
There're three potential options that I see as being feasible:
1) They package the two picks and move way up to secure Raji
2) They package the two picks and move up just inside the top 10 to grab Sanchez
3) They stay pat and grab two quality players, probably a solid LB and Freeman
The first two options could radically alter our playing field, especially with an unknown team losing swapping places. What do you all think?
Could the Jags influence our decision?
Imagine the draft shakes out in a way that Crabtree slides down to the Jags. Say, the draft goes:
Detroit: Jason Smith
St. Louis: Eugene Monroe
Kansas City: Aaron Curry
Seattle: Matthew Stafford
Cleveland: Brian Orakpo
Cincinatti: B.J. Raji
Oakland: Maclin/Crabtree
Jacksonvile: Remaining top wideout
Green Bay: Everette Brown
San Francisco: Andre Smith
Buffalo: Aaron Maybin
Denver: Brian Cushing
Washington: Michael Johnson
New Orleans: Beanie Wells (to tag-team with Reggie)
Do we make sure that we grab Jenkins and Davis as a "we're going to make sure you have to go through hell" before you score on us, i.e. teaming up either pick with Dunta to solidify the backfield? Or, does that allow a divisional opponent too much leeway. With the talk surrounding Crabtree (next Fitzgerald), you can never really be too sure, right?
