Through the magic of the internet, Alabama fans in Philadelphia have connected and finally decided to get together to watch a game. Join us at Tavern on Broad on Saturday, October 9th to watch the game and meet fellow Tide fans in Philadelphia -- there are more here than anyone could've imagined.

We hope to make this a permanent gathering so those of us in Philadelphia don't have to trek to New York or D.C. to watch games with large groups of Alabama fans.

Roll Tide!

Per ESPN's Chris Low, on Alabama's 'unique' schedule for 2010:

Charles Bloom, an SEC associate commissioner, said Thursday that the league is trying to provide some relief for Alabama so that the Crimson Tide won't have to play six of their eight conference games next season when the opponent is coming off a bye week.

I know it will generate some cries of favoritism in Knoxville and Auburn, but six-of-eight opponents playing us coming off a bye is ridiculous. Kudos to the SEC for recognizing and trying to correct that.
