Have heard the Colts may be interested in a vet receiver, depending on how long Gonzo will be out. Baskett was just released by the Iggles today and has some good size (6'4) could be a decent weapon and is a solid special teamer.

Is Garcon ready to play full-time on the outside w/ Collie in the slot ( I don't believe he has the speed to play outside)? or should we sign a guy like Baskett?

Trade Idea w/ Clippers

I saw that the clippers were looking to get rid of Chris Kaman's contract (because they now have Marcus Camby, and are also looking to unload Cuttino Mobley. With the help of the ESPN trade machine I saw the opportunity for two possible Pacer trades.

Option 1: Trade Rasho and a 2nd Round Pick for Kaman. This gives the Clips a solid player, draft pick, and an expiring contract to work with. In return the Pacers get one of the better young centers who is a rebounding and shot-blocking force.

Option 2: Rasho, Tinsley, 2nd Rounder for Kaman and Cuttino Mobley

This allows the Pacers to get rid of Tins, and still get 2 productive players in return. Cuttino has 2 years left @ 8 million, which i still like better than tinsleys contract. In the short term it gives us another veteran option off the bench who can defend and hit the open jumper.

Mobley would cut into rush's minutes somewhat this year, but with Dunleavy's status still up in the air, i think it would be nice to have another veteran presence in there. and after next year he becomes a solid option for an expiring contract trade.

For the clippers they get a solid PG to back up Baron Davis (who is always injured also), and gives them a productive big man they can use in another trade or for depth purposes. This also frees up about 13 mil in cap space for them going into the offseason.

Overall, for the Pacers we get much needed size up front to shore up the Defense and Rebounding which will allow us to develop Hibbert a little more slowly. And it gives us another veteran wing which will be great espically if Dunleavy's injury turns out to be really serious.

I think this really makes sense for both sides, what do you guys think?
