I can only use one of the tickets for the game against the Mariners this coming Monday August 20. Other is availble to first responder to this post. To claim, comment on this thread AND send me an email.

I plan to pick them up tonight, Thursday. If you want to pick yours up from Jim (either at his work or Snakepit Towers)send me an email before 4:00 PM today at ned_kohler@yahoo.com. I am North Scottsdale based and could meet anywhere along the 101 from Chapparal to Tatum very easily to hand over. Otherwise we will have to arrange a pre-game rendevouz.

Puzzled meteorologists at LAX reported an intense and completely unexpected storm. "There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the next thing you know we were washed away! We have no clue where all that thunder and lightning came from!" said an anonymous spokesperson.

The weather station at SFO simultaneously reported an eerily similar and freakish cloudburst which was apparantly triggered by the events in LA. Aside from the timing and lack of warning signs, the intense precipitation generated just below waist height is unprecedented and unexplained.

The unusual yellow tint was initially attributed to pollutants captured during extreme wind shear. Experts with the CA EPA have since backpedaled and refuse to speculate pending further tests.

Modeling by climatologists at both USC and UC Berkley pointed to intense high pressure emanating from Arizona as the cause.

In apparantly unrelated but coincidental news, the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Psychiatric Association reported an outbreak of sleepwalking among high profile local athletes.

Talk about an anticlimax.

Such a letdown that we were apparantly unable to stop the front office juggernaut and ended up trading Crag Breslow before they could get it under control.

Can someone please explain to me what other possible rationale there is for dealing Breslow? I can't see Albers for Breslow as anything but a downgrade. Even assuming some positive value from Posednick ,it still zero to a first approximation.

The premise that this was some sort of preparation for a Garza deal with the Cubs is just laughable.

You will never convince me that Posednick was the final chip in the deal for the Cubs. Do we really distrust our kids so much that we couldn't use one as a 4th outfielder if CY or Parra was in the mix? Filling the spot in Reno required such skill that we couldn't find a semi-warm body somewhere without giving away a very servicable bullpen lefty?

Let the naysayers whimper about correlation and casuality. Clearly Jim's invocation of Blasphemy Bieber has unleashed a great power in the finest tradition of Joe Boyd/Hardy.

This begs several questions.

1. Is it truly possible to do good using such an instument of evil? Where is the hook?
2. Clearly BB is Mr. Applegate. Which of the Snakepit ladies is Lola (and what does she want)?
3. Is Jim's soul now in jeopardy? Or already toasting gently below? (This begs another question as to how anyone working in IT for any length of time has a soul left to trade.)
4. Is BB only effective against the Dudger's or can it be extended to the NL West, entire NL or even all of MLB?
5. If BB is Dudger specific or otherwise limited, can similar tools be developed for other applications?
6. Which SPers souls are worth enough to pull this off? Will we have to package some prospects?
7. Is this a infinite resource or do we have limited number of bullets to be reserved for critical situations?

I suggest we commission a crash program by the BBSRDG* to clarify the above.

<!Sources within the D'back front office confirm what should have been obvious to anyone watching the first third of the 2012 season. That was a NOT Justin Upton staggering around right field and waving helplessly at pitching he normally crushes! Details of the plot and and its resolution are sketchy at best but there are three main theories.

1. Stolen by faeries and replaced by a changling
2. Abducted by aliens with substitution by a (not-very) lifelike robot
3. Kinapped by the MLB Commisioner's Office as a quid pro quo to the new Dodger ownership for overpaying so outrageously. The identity of the impersonator is not known but clearly he never played ball above the Little League level.
