Tapout TV show puts the WWF in MMA
I remember being about six or seven and in tow behind my Dad as we made a detour through the TV section of a Department store. Several men and their boys were watching whatever version of WWF existed on black and white TV screens back then. My Dad, never one to pull an opinion, said in voice clearly meant to be heard by me...and them, "See that? That's fake." I've haven't had much use for wrestling ever since.
We watched boxing unitl Don King destroyed it.
Along came Dana White, Zuffa and the UFC and life is good. Dana has done a good job of keeping the matches rolling. Even throwing a bone to the fans by airing a couple fights on Spike instead of PPV. TUF has been Tivo worthy and Dana has earned my respect along the way. Holding punks accountable in today's permissive society is good for the UFC. There was the loser who went AWOL for a little poontang and got the boot. Then there was the mini brawl that got a few guys booted. And now, Pisspants JT gets kicked out of TUF for acting like an imbecile. Oh well, at least he avoided the embarassment of losing to Amir.
Dana doesn't suffer fools and that's good for us fans. Makes me wonder what he thinks of the TV show Tapout and their gay clowns with their faggy makeup and costumes. Dana should make a call to Tapout and ask them if they really want to align themselves with the WWF. Real MMA fighters might have a little body art, but skills still rule the day. Army hats, makeup, clown wigs and jock straps as fashion accessories belong in the WWF, not MMA.
