Road to the Superbowl
Here is a quick overview of the season for each of the remaining teams.
TE Owen Daniels Has X-Rays For Possible Broken Hand
The answer is NO, No we can not win a game without losing a starter. Sorry, that was what the deal was.
The Houston Texans notched their first win in franchise history with a 31-10 victory, but not without yet another key offensive player sustaining an injury.
Tight end Owen Daniels was scheduled to have a postgame X-ray for what the Houston Chronicle reported could be a broken right hand.
Daniels injured his hand on a second-quarter catch. He remained in the game after the play and finished with two catches for 29 yards.
The Texans play the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday in an AFC Divisional Playoff Game.
*** Updated ***
As per Pro Football Talk, Owen Daniels has had an MRI and surgery is not expected to miss any playing time.
"The belief is that Daniels will be able to face the Ravens because he didn’t suffer a compound fracture and likely won’t need surgery"
In case the D needed some incentive this week
Chris2K needs only 14yards to hit 1000 yards and get a $300,000 bonus.
"Forcible" Contact Needed to qualify as a Helmet to Helmet Hit
If that is the case, then the Officials should not have called the Roughing the Passer call on JJ Watt in the game against Indy.
NFL.com's Jason Smith is Calling it. ....
We can expect to see Schaub in a different uniform next season. I'm suspecting he is talking about the Texans trading him for a 1st round pick, and not Bud McNair re-vamping the uniform.
Semi-Official Review with DTF
Pull your head out of your bum-hole. It was Intentional Grounding
NFL Playbook Wk13
In this weeks NFL Playbook, the boys go over the intentional grounding play from TJ Yates during the first half of the Jaguars game. (Footage starts at about 3:25).
I will detail below why the Officials made the right call, that's if you're able to get your brain to make the quantum leap needed to see things objectively.

Toxic Differential is the Best Indicator of Sucess (Texans on top)
Brian Billick discusses his very own stat to show who is best. (Spoiler alert: It is your favourite Houston Texans)
X & O's with Bill Kollar
Remember him? Defensive Line Coach for that team we all talk about?
Here is a good take on what they are looking to do on the D-Line. All secrets are revealed (Just a hint, looks like BRB writers know what they're talking about).
Major quake in Christchurch, New Zealand
Hi Guys,
I'm sure you will have seen this if you have seen the news in the past 24 hours.
I just thought I'd let you all know that I'm still alive and well. Also, some of my extended family and good friends who live there have been in contact and are alive and well.
The only person I haven't been able to contact is my Football Coach friend, Rhys Dacre. He played in Washington during his college years and coached in Colorado at College level and in the Arena League for a few years as a QB coach.

UPDATE 25/2 6:30am
A good friend of mine is alive and well, but I have just learnt that his ex-wife and mother of his two children is among the missing.

Andre Johnson (GOAT) is a game time decision this week
An MRI has revealed that the ankle problem is now affecting the achilles due to Johnson playing on his injured ankle since week 2.
Arian Foster has a pain in the arse!
NFL.com report
"Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, who sat out the final 10 minutes of Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans, cited a muscle spasm in his glute -- not his sore ankle -- as the reason for leaving the game, according to the Houston Chronicle on Monday."
blah blah blah. need 75 words to publish. blah blah blah. need 75 words to publish. blah blah blah. need 75 words to publish. blah blah blah. need 75 words to publish. blah blah blah. need 75 words to publish.
Cole hits Schaub > NFL hits Cole
While I'm still waiting for a fine for the hit on Pollard, at least it shows that the NFL hasn't forgotten about us.

Fox Sports write up from Mike Pereira, the former NFL's Vice President of Officiating.
While I have am not and have never been the NFL's Vice President of Officiating, I consider myself fairly competent official in New Zealan, operating under NCAA rules. I have been an official for the last three National All-star games and the last Australia v New Zealand game.
So feel free to get my take on the play after the jump...
Gates Questionable for Texans Game
In news that will no doubt bring tears of joy to all Houston Texans fans around the globe. The All-Universe TE, Antonio Gates, is considered to be unlikely to play in this weeks game against the Houston Vanilla Defense and the Red Carpet Zone.
Gates was possibly quoted as saying, "I really hope I can play this week. I mean, how often does a TE get the chance to go for 500 yards and 17 TD's in a single game? And if I was healthy, I could do that easily against those pusy cat dolls.
Nothing to worry about for Six weeks...
Trent Edwards has been picked up by the Jags. Will he be starting by our game against them?
I hate to say it, but the Caveman had a bad game
Matt Schaub was sacked five times in the game against the Redskins. I've been able to see all five of those plays via NFL.com. One of them was all on Scahub, He held onto the ball too long, and when the pressure came, he could have stepped up into the pocket, but he broke out and was chased down, but three of the others..... All involved Eric Winston.

Texans O-Line getting some love
Check out this video from NFL.com. Sit down for a meal with the Houston Texans O-Line while they discuss the greatness of Arian Foster.
Where is BoneCrusher when you need him? Seriously, Get Tom Brady the F**k out of here.
Thank for the sponsorship Comcast, but why are you splashing Tom 'mother f**king' Brady all over our beloved Texans blog?? Obviously Peighton Manning wasn't available, 'cause everyone knows that he is the only football player worth getting advertise anything!
Seriously, what are they hoping to achieve in getting a Patriot to advertise to us? Darn it, This was on 56 words long, and of course you need 75, so now I have to waffle to get the number of words up.
An unauthorised attempt at the 53 man roster
Seeing as no one else has. I'll give it a shot. the list starts after the jump.
Texans Key to victory.... Divisional play.
Well, no surprises their then, but I figured he has the same thoughts as me, so I should share them with y'all so you think I am smart too.
Here is the quote that I thought has summed up the Kubiak era, "Only two have gone 1-5 in their division and not finished with a losing record: The 8-8 Texans of 2007 and the 9-7 Texans of 2009."
Mittens gets a mention
The top six QB battles this season, and "30yr old NFL Journeyman, David Carr" has been picked up by the 49ers to compete with Alex Smith.
I guess people are finally moving on from "former #1 overall pick, David Carr". It makes me a little sad, but you guys have already picked up that I'm a Carr apologist.
Houston Texans Predictions
I have no idea who this guys is, but the article is in slideshow format. So it has some pretty pictures to keep you entertained.
Ignore this post. It will mean nothing to you
This News Story is something I read recently, and it was the best news since Cushing's successful Suspension Appeal Andre Johnson's return to OTA's.
For those of you living in the great state of Texas, this won't mean a thing to you, but to me, living in New Zealand, This is great!!
At some point in the future, from November 2011 to be precise, I could fly direct from my country right into Houston to catch a game. Currently the cheapest flights are through LAX and cost a little over $5000.
I look forward to seeing you all soon at some point in the future.
Run for No gain analysis
Apparently, given enough time, you can dig up a stat for everything. As seen in the link above. Pro Football Focus talks to Paul Kuharsky of ESPN about how zero yard runs can still help the gameplan.
I'm not sure how exactly. I know on some level it makes sense, but I still don't like it.
I know this should have been a fanshot and not a fanpost, but nobody reads the fanshots.

I wish to make a complaint!!!
Not about here. I love Battle Red Blog and all its friends. Its about NFL.com . I can't seem to watch this video.
http://www.nfl.com/videos/houston-texans/09000d5d8174070e/A-look-at-the-2010-Texans-Schedule
I can watch the other teams look at schedules, but, not the Texans one. Is it just me or is it a broken link?
Schedule out on Tuesday
