Pinstripe Alley taking too many good pitches

I was the first and last to say it last season and I'll be the first and last to say it this season. The Yankees take too many good pitches from good Pitchers to fall behind in the count and then create unnecessary pressure on themselves which essentially leads to bad at bats. Watch the game tonight. Unless Girardi allows them to be more aggressive, I've made peace with the fact that I will be seeing the Phillies win their second consecutive world series title. I say this same thing every year, taking too many good pitches over the plate that major league hitters who get paid exorbitant salaries to read a pitchers release and rhythm and Girardi's style forces them to be too passive at the plate which translates to bad at bats and key losses. Of course you're going to win a lot of games because you increase your chances of hitting when you have an all star lineup without any bad batters.(its like shooting fish in a barrel---you're bound to hit a target) With that lineup the Yankees should not have any concerns but unfortunately they do. Key hitting situations are shaky (you never know what you're going to get). The yankees have won with good pitching this year. They won a lot of games this year because they have shutdown pitchers and they rode them mercilessly. Mariano and CC pitched like workhorses. Notice Mariano is pitching 2 innings now and CC is pitching full games. Why is that? Do you think Girardi knows that their strongest pitching is their best defense and their only chance to keep their offense in the game. When CC, Burnett, Mariano, Phil Hughes, and Petite are on their A-Game--there's no one better at shutting teams down, but offensively they're unstable at best. They are NOT as great as they should be with the payroll and talent they have. It's disgusting to see the good pitches they take and fall behind in the count to cripple themselves. NO ONE TAKES NOTICE!!!!!  I DO

Pinstripe Alley TAKING GOOD PITCHES EQUALS LOSSES

Will somebody please watch the Yankee game today and watch for all the good pitches they take and observe them carefully to see how they are not being as aggressive as the number one team in the league (Angels). Once again I am not saying hack away at anything, but there are an extraordinary amount of hittable balls that the Yankees look at and take for strikes. THEY ARE NOT SWINGING THE BAT AGGRESSIVELY. They are trying that old Yankee patient hitting style and getting their butts whipped by good pitching. The Yankees have superior players (better than the Angels) THE ONLY REASON THAT THE YANKEES CANNOT COMPETE WITH THE ANGELS IS BECAUSE THEIR HITTING STYLES ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT) ANGELS=AGGRESSIVE,,,,,,YANKEES=PASSIVE!!!!!The Angels dont miss good pitches to hit, thats why they are going into the post-season and my Yankees are going to disappear again (tears in my eyes)!!!

Pinstripe Alley PLEASE STOP TAKING SO MANY PITCHES

has no one in new york has taken notice yet to the extraordinary amount of pitches the yankee batters take? ESPECIALLY FIRST PITCH STRIKES!!! and the amount of men LOB is freaking ridiculous. I wanna pull my hair out on every surface of my body. THE relaxed (patient) style of Girardi ala Joe Torre, simply DOES NOT  work anymore. Please develop a new strategy!!!!! If i have to sit through another game where the batters continue to watch perfect first pitch strikes go down the middle of the plate knee high and dont swing, I think i'm gonna have a coronary. Perfect example of hitters who take advantage of good pitches------THE BALTIMORE ORIOLES!!!
