Did we ever get a reason why the Dolphins didn't put in waiver claim for Moss?
Sorry for going down this road again guys but I'm curious about this. I apparently had misunderstood the whole waiver situation to begin with. I completely forgot that Tennessee was BELOW us in the waiver claim list.. I had simply thought they were ahead of us and put in a claim, so we missed out but I now know that we had first dibs before them and never made a move. Tennessee was the only team to put through a claim. So all I want to know is - did we ever get an answer or reason as to why we never put through a claim?Excuse me if this post is just beating a dead horse, so to speak with going through the Moss thing again
Reports are coming in from several sources now that the Minnesota Vikings have abruptly released Randy Moss just mere weeks after picking him up from the Patriots earlier this month.
***MOSS WAIVED*** Any takers?.. What do you think?
It was just reported that Randy Moss was waived early today.

Last thought from Pitt game - how quick most are to assume game over if call goes our way
I just wanted to say that although the way that game ended was heartbreaking and infuriating, it was not a foregone conclusion that the game was ours had the call gone our way. Most people here assume that was it and that was the game but keep in mind that we would have had to kill the clock with over two minutes had we got the fumble recovery.
Who's to say we don't three and out (we know that could very well have happened with our play calling) and Pitt had all three time outs. We would have punted to Pitt...likely half decent field position with around two minutes left.. Then it's Big Ben with a few plays...gets into field goal range...and bingo! Game over..same result..
I believe that probably would have happened anyways but who knows....that ultimately is the thing and we should have had the damn chance to ice the game...but were never given the chance..
I just wanted to state (the obvious?) that seems to be missed when so many are discussing the blown call and end of the game, assuming it was all over had the refs got it right.
I just hope the league and the refs learn their lesson (again!) and LET THE PLAY GO on close calls like that so replays dont result in blown calls (games) like this! We'll have to wait and see...but in the mean time.. we suffer the consequence..
TMQ DISS-respect (Henne deserves better)
I'm just doing a quick post to show something that was written the other day on the TMQ (Tuesday Morning Quarterback) website which had a quick reference to Chad Henne that I found a bit appalling.
Here's the link - http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=easterbrook/101019_tuesday_morning_quarterback&sportCat=nfl
I like this guy's weekly article but I found this one little tid-bit of info that had his personal opinion that happened to reference Chad Henne a bit, unfortunate and suprising to say the least.
Here it is: (one of his "Stats of the week")
Stat of the Week No. 4: Favre is 28th in passer rating this season, trailing QBs such as Josh Freeman, Shaun Hill, Chad Henne and Alex Smith.
Now come on! "Trailing QBs such as".... and to use those names (which all make sense) and then Chad Henne! Please, he has no business putting Henne in that list for comparison. I was surprised. And although there has been some bashing of him lately and his play has been questioned as well as his growth and performance thus far in his short career, he is better then advertised. I hate seeing stuff like this.
With some of the stuff that has been said and posted lately about Henne I'm sure some of you here won't find this offensive or inaccurate at all but I would hope most of you would.
Your thoughts?...
My thoughts on the K.C. game and onto the Finale
This actually started off as a "response" in Nicky's gameballs post but I started rambling on so much and adding so many paragraphs, that I just figured I should post it seperately. So here it is...

Power Rankings - Week 16
Another week of games has passed and it's Tuesday, so the various sports sites have released their Power Rankings and down below are a couple.
The Aftermath - My Account of the Game in Toronto
I know that this is coming a bit late as the game was four days ago but I have been indisposed since then.
I was at the "ground breaking" event in Toronto and had previously promised that I would post "My Account" of the game.
Obviously, there has already been a lot of posts about the game and my points, perspectives and breakdowns, so I will make this shorter then I originally might have.

(More) Burning Questions
First off, I want to give my praise to Matty I for his post on "5 Burning Question". It's a great post and all his work is great insight and commentary on the important topics surrounding the Dolphins from week to week.
This post certainly isn't to take away from the first one, copy it in any way or to suggest that anything was missed...I simply just want to add some more "Burning Questions" to the discussion(s) for this week's "game of the year".
Predictions Anyone?
Well, it's only a few days away to the biggest game this team has seen in years and a lot has been discussed and posted leading up to it. We all know what this means to Miami and to this season and what the keys are to winning this all important divisional game.
Now it's time for some predictions...and preferrably, some realistic ones. I know, many will say 50-0 with Ronnie running for 250/3td, CP10 at 400/3td and Porter with a gazillion sacks, etc, etc...and as much as you and I both would love for that to happen, this isn't Alice in Wonderland...
So let's get some serious predictions for the possible outcome of the game and what some of the key players/stats might be. Maybe even a quick scenario of how you might think it'll play out....I'm sure this should get interesting!
And afterwards we can check back to see who's got the crystal ball, so to speak.
Belows is also a quick poll for the final score winner by spread:
