Rumor Vince for Arenas deal being discussed
Draft Express twitter has it and its on it website and its also on the realgm website check it out and i say hell no! arenas is not the answer he has a horrible contract and the garbage that comes with him i say if otis does this he will get the boot out of town . I rather keep vince carter and trade him in the trade deadline it makes more sense than adding a bad contract like arena's contract
here are the links: http://twitter.com/draftexpress and http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_...nas_for_carter_swap/
update its official guys otis is working on something this is what Alex Kennedy said via twitter I'm not sure who or what it pertains to but three different people have told me Otis has something up sleeve or that something is brewing. and I continue to hear from multiple sources that Otis Smith has something up his sleeve.
How will you receive Tmac?
As many of you know Tracy Mcgrady has shown interest in playing for the Orlando magic, he is one of the best players in the history of the franchise, his cousin Vince plays for the magic so it sounds like a perfect scenario right? Not so fast my friends the former Orlando magic superstar had a rocky ending to his 4 year tenure with his home town team to say the least. So i was wondering as a young magic fan that grew up in the era of Tmac how you will receive him when he makes his last return to the Amway arena where he once captivated our minds with dazzling plays and his unique scoring ability.

A Trade idea (just for fun)
there is talks about a deal involving Chicago that would sent j.j and bass to the bulls for salmons and in my personal opinion this is a really bad deal for the Magic but if we could pull of this deal it would make more sense and add depth in the pg spot just in case jameer is not 100 %
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ylzyr3a
adding hinrich would give us a good defender, shooter and someone who can play both guard positions and Gibson is a good rookie that is a little worse than bass but has a smaller contract and is a good defender.
The down side is having to part ways with J.J that has played so well this year for us and that has been in my opinion one of are most consistent players.
I'm still not 100% sure i've convinced myself that this is a good trade so i wanted to know what you guys think???
Hedo as in hero???
Before I begin i must say i am a loyal magic fan that does not remember the orlando magic team without a laidback sometimes goofy and hard to understand but mostly lovable Hedo, much of this has to do with my young age, but thats a different story. I love hedo as a player but i dont understand why people have gone crazy over him this offseason, this is bizzare to me since 2 years ago he had his best season ever averaging 19.5 points 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assist and did not even get enough love to make it to the All star team, he was a very unknown player except in orlando and in turkey (he is the michael jordan of turkey for a reason you know!!!) but all of a sudden his stock has climbed more than slice bread. Many people believe that the magic are going to suffer from not having there point foward this year and they assert all this on hedo's playoff performance but i argue that the real matchup nightmare is named Rashard lewis. He is an sf playing the pf position he is too quick for most pf and helps spread the floor and last i checked he is still in a magic uniform. To prove my point further more lets compare hedo's playoff numbers to rashard's numbers (below)
Hedo Turkoglu FG% 3P% RPG APG PPG
08-09 ORL 0. 427 0.386 4.5 4. 1 15.8
Rashard Lewis FG% 3P% RPG APG PPG
08-09 ORL 0.448 0.394 6.4 2.9 19.0
as you can see rashard lewis had better numbers in all the categories except for assists and lets not forget rashard hit some big shots in the playoffs too. I ask whats the big fuss on hedo he is a good player in my opinion but much of his success had to do with him being on the orlando magic team. He was a perfect fit and a good system player on the team. Many people are saying that the magic will struggle this season because Hedo the mj of turkey is not in O-town but i believe that Vince can replace hedo and even do more things that hedo could not. The additions of other key players this offseason might make the magic be a deeper and more versitile team than ever before. Although hedo will always be one of my favorite players and i wish him the best he is gone now but I can stilll remember 2 years ago when he hit the game winning shot against the celts and how i remember so clearly and vividly the words HEDO AS IN HERO!!!
A picture perfect ending to the offseason
As the offseason continues to progress much of the magic's offseason moves have been made we have gained a all-star shooting guard in Vince Carter, in addition to this we added two bigs a rebounding PF that adds toughness to the team in Brandon Bass and a PF that allows us to spread the floor with Ryan Anderson. the addition of Anderson allows the magic to put 4 shooters and dwight on the floor this was a formula for success in the past. The magic have also added depth by holding on to restricted free agent Marcin Gortat and adding SF Matt Barnes. This offseason has in my opinion made the Magic into a better team then the one that made it to the finals. For me adding the final touches to this great offseason is a key for success, The Magic still need to add a back up point guard and maybe another wing and big, the problem is the money is not there. The Magic should first off work out a sign and trade for C.J Watson. This would give magic a back up point guard that can play the magic's style of play. Then the Magic should sign Keith Bogans for the minimum, Bogans exels at defense and shoots the 3 ball well( and he's no stranger to the Magic). Finally if Tony Battie is waived by the nets(very likely) he would be a great pick up for the Magic. Tony will give the Magic another big body to the front court he's able to shot a 15 foot jump shot and gives the team a veteran player wo can play the center or PF position. The addtion of this 3 players will make Orlando one of the deepest teams if not the deepest team in the league and will be the picture perfect ending to an already magical off-season.
Top 5 Reasons Vince will do just fine in Blue and white....
Many people around the league are critizing the magic for trading to get vince carter, although i must admit that at first i was a little discontent with the loss of lee who shined his rookie year i felt it was a good move for the magic, now im hearing the vince is out of gas, that we will not have the match up problems that we had last year and so on. So im listing the top five reasons vince will do just fine.
1. He is playing for a championship and for his home town team this has to motivate him.
2. He will be playing with Superman for god's sake, and he will have the best fans in the world cheering him on.
3. he will have great players around him, therefore he will not have to force shots up and he will get more open looks and more opportunities to find open teammates.
4. he does not need to score 20-25 points a night ,he is surrounded with great talent i feel that if he averages 17 points and 6 assist a game it will do.
5. He is not going to be in the swampland of new yersey but in the fabulous sunshine state.
P.S whats this that he’s out of gas, why dont we say the same about kevin garnett, ray allen, shaq, rasheed wallace or paul pierce there all older than him except for pierce who is a year younger than him,but the point is all there numbers have gone down but you dont here about them being out of gas.
Tell me what you think i will start doing articles like this more often and will love to hear your opinions GO MAGIC!!!
