Sports Fans
I stumbled across this neat youtube channel that I thought I'd share with sports fans on here who enjoy watching past games like me. It also has a few games from the '99 Rams season, including the Super Bowl, so it's definitely worth checking out. For college football fans, it also has the 2005 Rose Bowl and the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, just a great collection.
Rams Shaking Off Their Sorry Reputation
This was in the Random Ramsdom but for anyone who missed it, this is a very good read.
Chiefs release Brian Waters
He's 34, but still effective. He would make a good stopgap solution at guard, hope the Rams are interested.
Steal of the Draft
The biggest steal of the draft at running back might be USC running back Allen Bradford. I've said for awhile that I've wanted this guy because he really showed some serious running ability this year at SC but that was also because of my homerism. After the combine, though, I don't see how anyone can disagree.
This tweet says it all:
Allen Bradford is bigger (242), stronger (28 reps) and faster (unofficial 4.56) than Mark Ingram. #justsaying
and this one just for fun:
Wisconsin #Badgers RB John Clay (231lbs) 4.77 40-yd time isn't helped when USC #Trojans RB Allen Bradford (242lbs) runs a 4.56 40-yd.
242 lbs and a 4.56 40 time is incredible! Top that off with more reps than over half of the offensive linemen and his stock just skyrocketed to the first 3 rounds. He's also very fresh with less than 300 carries throughout his college career, great back to replace SJ in the future and is also a hard worker.
Thoughts on your steals and who intrigues you at running back?
NFC West needs
How good is it to be the only team in the NFC West without a need at QB? Top 2 need for each team, at that.
Praise for Pat Shurmur?! GET OUT!
A look at the good things about Shurmur's offense and how he's smart to play "small ball" because of the lack of talent.
According to STATS, Inc., Smith and Saffold have allowed just three sacks between them and Bradford hasn’t taken many more hits coming off the edge. While the duo could still find ways to improve in terms of penalties (they’ve combined for nine this year), it’s evident that they are feeding off one another and regularly challenging each other to get better.
Tackle Duo Making Strides - Nick Wagoner
Every rookie chipping in
A look at what the Rams rookies have been doing and what their position coaches have to say about them.
Honorable mention goes to Dominique Curry, who was not mentioned in the article but should be recognized for his special teams work before the injury.
Jones tops Peterson
A nice little piece from Mocking the Draft for those of you who are scared about drafting Julio Jones. He did have a drop at the end, but great game for him.
