Play Calling or Execution

The Eagles game is tonight, the Redskins have embarked on a new play caller which provides another set of issues but is it the play calling, execution or both...The Washington Times looked at it...

Redskins add a WR to practice squad

Redskins have signed wide receiver Anthony Armstrong to their practice squad, the team announced this morning. The Front office continue to amaze, see what Phinsider had to say THREE WHO HAVE MADE LITTLE OR NO IMPRESSION: WR Anthony Armstrong

Jim Zorn To Relinquish Playcalling Duties

Above provided by TORB Zorn to stop calling plays Per the Redskin insider at the post. The most negative view, as always PFT Zorn stripped of play calling duties Does it really matter?

Offense is Saved: Smith, Wynn back, Pakulak released

The groin injury that knocked him out of the Carolina game has improved to the point where the team felt safe in releasing his replacement Glenn Pakulak.-And the Strength of the Redskins offense returns Whooo-hooo

Brian Mitchell Calls Zorn "A Little Less Than" Norv via DC sport Bog

3
"I like Jim Zorn," Mitchell said, before slicing off Zorn's feet. "I like him because he's honest. I like him because he tries to be quirky and be funny. But I want to be real. I want to ask people, viewers out there: when you see him in press conferences, and the things he says, and the way he looks, does he truly look like a guy that you want to be following, to be your leader? I'm serious. I keep hearing that statement, 'He blew us away in the interview process'. I don't see blow away in what I'm seeing. Whether they win or lose, I don't see blow away. I was with Norv Turner, and Norv was a great coach, but he was not a damn leader. And I see this man being a little less than what Norv Turner was. I'm being honest...." Explains it to me clearly, now is not too early

Mike Williams starts, Reinhart sits

2
This just in via twitter from Frank Hanrahan at ESPN 980: Mike Williams will see his first NFL action since the 2005 seasons when he takes the starting lineup at right guard. This means that Chad Rinehart’s two-game stint at the position is over, at least for the time being. The guess here is that they want to get Williams some game action and that the eventual move will be to put Williams at right tackle and Rinehart back in at guard. I hope Tandler's guess is right, otherwise this means the team has given up on Rinehart

Mediocre at Best: but far from the Worst

The bizarre happenings in Washington or Maryland always bring out the sentiments that the Washington Redskins are the worst ran franchise in football.

Redskins sign P Glenn Pakulak to PS

Pakulak the Punter, not the same ring. He's on the PS, so watch for a vet to be released on Saturday, gets full pay. Then resigned again on Monday. The 54 man roster trick.

That includes running back Clinton Portis (calf), fullback Mike Sellers (quadricep), defensive tackles Albert Haynesworth (hip), Cornelius Griffin (thigh) and Anthony Montgomery (knee) and cornerback DeAngelo Hall (ankle). -- David Elfin

The Redskins have re-signed running back Anthony Alridge to the team’s roster, signing him off the Houston Texans’ practice squad, the team announced on Tuesday. Alridge takes the roster spot of Randy Thomas, who has been placed on the injured reserve list with a torn triceps. With the addition of Alridge, the Redskins are carrying five running backs on the roster. The team has nine offensive linemen, plus one on the practice squad.

Brian Mitchell get's it right on the Boo's - humbles Robert Henson's emotional rebuttal to the fans: "Listen to me, these fans pay a lot of money," Mitchell concluded. "These fans have been given a lot of promises. You've been told by Jim Zorn and whoever else about we're gonna be ready to play offensively. They weren't booing everybody. They were booing the offense today. Believe me. And when you're booing the offense, the offense needs to step up and do their job, and the person that runs the offense is Jim Zorn. He's the head coach and also he calls the play. He needs to get his offense up to par with the defense. The fans have a right to do that."
