I've been a Raiders fan since 1976 and I love Cable.  I'll freely admit I'm not up on all the player vs player stats and I really don't  care about what our guys did in college compared to someone else. That's all Apples and Oranges, so all you Haters, don't bother throwing that at me. What's most important is who is right for our TEAM. I did a lot of reading about our picks and from what I've seen of this draft and the free agents we've picked up so far, Cable seems to be the first coach we've had in a looooong time who understands and shares Al Davis' football philosophy. They don't have the best stats or the flashiest moves but generally speaking they are all big, strong, fast guys who are smart hardworking players.  Many have won the respect of thier coaches and teammates and have shown excellent leadship abilities in the past. But most importantly they appreciate being here and love to KICK ASS. In other words 'classic' Raiders. Will all of them shine? No. Some won't be able to step up and will suck.  We'll kick ourselves in hindsight and will have to suffer some 'I told you so's' from Haters but, that happens to every team every year.

I have to say for the first time in years I'm excited about our Coach and the direction of this team. While I have no reason to think we will be 'contenders' next season, I am hopeful we'll end up with a winning record at least.
