Paul Silas wants to run

This was in a fan shot, but HAWKEYES can attest to the lack of exposure in that realm. All credit for this link goes to Newsinz. And to get to the word limit, what say I?

So who's got NBA 2K11?
First basketball game I've picked up since NBA Hangtime on my Nintendo 64. Curious on how my team is doing? Check back after the jump...
Bobcats sign Kwame Brown
(DA -- From the FanPosts. More on this later. To sum up my point of view: Not terrible, given the money. I only wish we could've been more creative. Also, maybe this is Jordan throwing Kwame a bone and saying he's sorry?)
The Bobcats have signed Kwame Brown to a 1 year deal at the league minimum. His agent says he wants to "create a new chapter."
This is pure LOL. I don't even know what to say. I'm expecting some serious photoshopping going on.
Bobcats sign Tyrus Thomas
From Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter: "Tyrus Thomas has reached agreement on five-year, $40 million contract to stay with Charlotte, league sources say."
Awesome news. Just fantastic. I was getting pretty worried with the Nets on his heels.
Beasley to Bobcats in 4 team trade?
(DA -- From the FanPosts.)
True Hoop just posted a proposed 4 team trade between the Bobcats, Raptors, Heat and Rockets.
The proposed deal, sources said, would send Beasley and Rockets forward Jared Jeffries to Charlotte, land Bobcats center Tyson Chandler in Houston and create sufficient cap space for Heat president Pat Riley to offer max-contract money to Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and James.
That sheds a little under $1 million this season and Jefferies contract has one year left. Easier to trade a $6 million contract along with Nazr's at the trade deadline, Beasley's contract is a team option the next year. Gives the team a lot of opportunities to make moves while possibly getting an elite talent if he stops hitting the ganja. Leaves us a little thin at the center position but maybe Gana can do something... right? Thoughts? Sounds like the Raptors aren't keen on it, but that might change as time goes on. Or find another partner.
(DA again -- I'm on record saying I'd love to bring Beasley aboard. Though Chandler is a good fit for the defense the Cats had in place, I love Beasley as a buy-low prospect, and Jeffries is perfect as a bench player, given the Cats' current identity. We'll need to find a center if he's gone, unless we're going with Boris Diaw and Tyrus Thomas, which is probably untenable and a laughable non-starter in the non-video game world. As for what the Raptors might want, they do want to get rid of Hedo Turkoglu, so maybe someone has to take on that contract to make this worth their while.)
