I noticed this in Buster Olney's blog this morning in reference to the articles this morning about trading Tex. "I can tell you this: There are many executives who are skeptical that the Rangers will be able to do this with any satisfaction. The value of prospective free agents is plummeting, and because Teixeira will become a free agent after 2008 and is represented by Scott Boras, teams are going to be reluctant to part with any kind of deep package of prospects for him. Rival executives wonder if GM Jon Daniels will be able to make any kind of deal that would be acceptable to owner Tom Hicks and to the team's fan base. In other words, if the Rangers get only a couple of decent prospects for Teixeira, or one or two decent major leaguers -- and no real developing stars -- is that enough? Because that may be all the Rangers can get."
