CelticsBlog Time for game experience for new and young guys!

Would like to change the discussion away from home court advantage toward a topic that I see more important for us today : game experience for new and young guys...

I have two asssumptions I think we can all agree with:

a) Celts are tired ! More specifically Pierce, Rondo, Allen are getting tired...

b) With injuries and fatigue, we are going to loose more games than usual...

Given this, would you like to see us losing those games with :

1) Pierce and Allen jacking up shots, both tired at the end of games...

2) Young guys (Walker, Pruitt) and new guys (Stephon and Moore) getting meaning full minutes down the stretch...

I personnally go for option 2 but anybody that agrees with option 1, please let us know why...?

CelticsBlog Comparing career statistics of Moore, Smith, Gooden and Powe as of 2008 per 36 min

I thought this could help fuel and rationalize the ongoing discussions about the two Sunday night bought outs...

Player Comparison on Basketball Reference (Gooden, Moore, Powe, Smith)

It also gives a good perspective on what Leon Powe brings to the table.

I recommend you focusing on the per 36 min data.

Basically, Smith and Moore produce almost equal stats per 36 min.

I can now say based on metrics, Ainge was right to secure Moore instead of waiting and praying for Smith who hurt us a lot last year.

CelticsBlog Perk injury against the Lakers source of the 2-7 stretch

I'm curious why nobody noticed that....??

Perk got a shoulder injury in the Xmas game against the lakers and we had to call timeout.... He continued to play but I could already feel like he wasn't 100% since then... We ended up losing that game but also 6 of the next 8 games with Perkins contributing little to nothing because of that shoulder IMO...

The celts has been "lucky" Perk reinjured that shoulder so he could actually get the rest he needed since the first injury and we got to put somebody who could play with no refrain..

Perk's injury is for me the number 1 reason of that losing stretch...

I do not understand why nobody has been talking about it...?
