Alright guys, it's official, 700 Billion dollars is now on our taxpaying tab. No surprise the house passed the bill earlier today. I was actually stoked this week when they shut it down, and then I realized that the Republicans were the ones who were responsible for this great act of courage. My initial reaction was "Great! There are still old school, constitutionalist, no big government, no socialism, republicans left. Who would've thought republicans would come through?!" Well all it took were some more tax breaks to sweeten the deal. So much for any faith in Republicans not named Ron Paul (There were others in opposition, don't know them by name otherwise they would be mentioned).

Now just to make this extra clear, more Democrats voted the bill through. Including my own Mike Honda, not like I voted for him. Pretty sure all the congressional leaders from the Bay did the same. You can check for yourself on Yahoo. Now, I see this as conformation that the main issue in this country is the war on the middle class and poor people. Just like in 2003 when dealing with the War in Iraq, the Bush gang (Yes that especially includes Paulsen and Bernanke) used fear and the idea of "inevitable danger looming if immediate action is not taken" to scare us into justifying a quick rash decision. This time it wasn't to use 700B over a period of time; it was to use it right away. This is just a show that whether you're red or blue, the one main color that keeps Washington moving is Green. (And I'm not speaking about the environment)

The Bush regime has done nothing but give OUR tax money to THEIR friends. KBR/Halliburton and big oil for the war, Banking, Credit and Lending Firms for this mess. Most people don't understand how our monetary system works, how free market capitalism works, and this is no more than an example of the government taking advantage of this. They have forced congress to either pass this bill and "stop the bleeding"(we'll see if that works) or do nothing and see what happens.

I assume that almost all of you were against this plan, but let's hear some other ideas.

Just so you know the Federal Reserve just aids in this kind of mess. They control inflation, they control the printing of the money, they are not a governmental institution and all we know is that they are ran by international and domestic bankers, but it’s nearly impossible to find out whom, but people will speculate. Although it's safe to assume that the fact that all these smaller banks were bailed out by the fed only to be bought out by JPMorgan Chase gives you an idea of who is in charge.

So thoughts. Class war? Better plans? Do we need the Fed? Is Debt better than Gold or silver or even poop? Are we officially screwed?

I'm a Dubz fan with a simple question. What do you think of Anthony Randolph? He probably won't see very much playing time for us, and we really don't need him to, but if he's really good he'll get playing time. Nellie loves his skillset and sees him playing a point forward type of roll, plus he destroyed in the summer league. So your thoughts would help, I've yet to see him play.

I also have tix to opening night, we play y'all. I was looking forward to Monta vs CP3, but now I have a feeling my boy Andris vs Chandler is going to be a hella crucial matchup. Andris had 30p and 22r in 35 mins in euro basket for Latvia this week. Plus he has a jumpshot now, and Chandler is Chandler. Also where do you see the W's in the west? Dont say behind Den and the Clipps, its simply untrue. Most people are underestimating this team, but they'll be in the hunt for the 8th spot. Thoughts?

I'd also like to send my regards and best wishes to all you down there in the south. I was relieved to see Gustav miss N.O. I have a friend in that city, I have friends from that city, and I've been there. Its a great town with great people and great food. And after Katrina you folks don't need anymore of that noise. Especially since it appears no one in the government cares about you. It could be that you dont have many business that contibute to the heads in Washington, or it could be all the black and poor people, government hates them. Anyway, I hope those of you who don't live in or around N.O. especially in Baton Rouge, cause I believe they got hit(could be wrong), are also holding up ok, stay strong, the Bay has your back.

What three players can the Warriors not afford to lose?

Meaning what three players can we not afford to lose to injury/suspension/etc for an extended period of time this season?

Its really hard to say this early, especially since we haven't even seen an exhibition with the full squad. But based on last year and what I know about our picks and FA signings here's my 3(no particular order):

Andris

Monta

Jack(Maggette maybe, we have to see what he can do on our squad, but 22ppg last year mostly against the West, playing in Dunleavy's system, with the Clipps! That says alot. Not to mention free throws.)

Andris is still our only pure center and he is one of the best in the league, if you need convincing you'll need to wait til Oct.29 whe he squares up against Tyson Chandler and DWest. (BWright could start that game because of the match ups)

Monta is Monta. No one quite like him in the league. Poised to make noise!!!!

Jack is Cap'n Jack. Winning a last minute showdown with Kobe in Staples. 7 3's in one quarter. Nuff said.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

In too deep?

There is one lingering question that is in all of our minds, will the Warriors make a big trade for a big player? A better question would be, should we?

Sure we may have the pieces to aquire a Josh Smith or Marion (it would likely take AL/Wright/Picks or Belli or Randy, maybe Dre and picks or AL) , but would that not be the same as having Baron and the team we had last year. Big talent, no depth.

My question is should we forgoe the move for a bigger better piece in order to keep the quality depth we have?( I use the word quality litely becaue there are a lot of intangibles that could go into that quality) This seems to be what Mully ad Nellie are trying to accomplish, a young athleic fast team that is deep and talented. They have adressed the main areas that have cost us the last two years through the draft and free agency, and it appears that they will let the youngsters have at it.

So I'm asking, how does everyone feel about it? Should we go all out and acquire another big piece? Whether its at PF or PG, although PF is clearly a bigger deficit. Or shall we just rely on a potentially deep team to get us into the post-season, and can they do it?

Also, does having Evans or Azubuike make us deeper, who's worth the money?

Thoughts?

Josh Smith or Marion?

There has been several posts and rumors regarding the Warriors trying to grab Marion from Mia. As much as I would probably be down to persue him, it seems that it would take AL and perhaps BWright and some draft picks, maybe more. Personally, I would rather see those resources used to go after Josh Smith in a sign and trade. It would probably take a little less than all that to get him, maybe not. Either way I personally think that Smith would fit our team better short term and in the future.

Smith cannot score like Marion can, however we already have 3 20+ scorers in the starting line up, not to mention the offseason growth of Biedrins' game. At this point I think it is safe to say that Smith is a better rebounder and defender than Marion, not to mention that he is actually a PF. He is also younger than Marion and is just entering his prime. So although there has been a lot of noise to bring "The Matrix to the Oracle", I think it would be better to bring Josh Smith to the Oracle. Plus Smith would bring his high flying dunks back to the Bay, something we miss. A good #5 replacement. And if we're gonna give up a young PF with upside like BWright I'd prefer to get someone in his prime not someone coming out of it. I know all the pluses of Marion, especially since this is his kind of system. But I feel JSmith would be a better help in areas we lack.Thoughts?
