Mile High Report 2012 Broncos Preview Teaser!!

I'm so excited about the upcoming year, I had to make a teaser video!! I included rookies that I think will make an impact this year including Derek Wolfe, Ronnie Hillman, Omar Bolden, Philip Blake, and Danny Trevathan. I'm really really excited to see Ronnie Hillman in the backfield and hope Omar Bolden is health as our third corner. For all you haters out there, believe in the draft board and the players we selected.

Let me know what you think. Go Broncos!!

Mile High Report Any South Florida Broncos Fans?

Are there any Broncos fans on here from south florida(Ft.lauderdale/Miami area) or does anyone know any sports bars that have several broncos fans in this area?  I just moved back down here and I know that there use to be a few bars down here with a lot of broncos fans. We have since got to shit with McDuffles but we have corrected that issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. One of the good things about living down here is that we always trade players for the fins lol

Mile High Report Just My Two Cents

IDK if anyone will agree with me on this trade but I would really love to trade Orton because his value has never been higher then it is now. With so many teams with HIGH draft picks looking for a QB, teams will be willing to reach more then ever. I think if we were to shop orton on the market then those teams that are drafting in the top ten would be will to give us great value by giving us a high second round pick for him or something equal. Looking at the complete draft order I can't help but look at Cincinnati because of the PALMER issue. They have the 4th overall pick and I think it's pretty high to pick any QB from this class fourth overall. They could trade for Orton and give us their 2nd round pick that's third overall and pick up AJ green still at #4. They could go right back on schedule while fixing their QB and WR issue in the first two rounds. The upside for us would be that we would have the 2nd overall pick, the 3rd, 4th, and 14th pick of the second round, and the 3rd pick of the 3rd round. So we would have five good picks in the first 67 picks. Orton is not a SB quarterback and Tebow should get a chance after showing some sparks last season. This would also free up CAP space to sign more FA's along with have some good quality picks. I'm not going to speculate FA's but here is a small mock draft.

With The Second Pick Of The 2011 Draft, The Denver Broncos Select

Robert Quinn or Marcell Dareus

I'm going to give a list of players that are around their draft position

2nd Round 3rd and 4th pick: I think if we could get jimmy smith then we should look at it but besides that, we need O-line and D-line

   Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi St.
   Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado
   Mikel LeShoure, RB, Illinois
   Rodney Hudson, OL, Florida St.
   Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon St.
   Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio St
   Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor

2nd round 14th pick:

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Notre Dame
Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois
Jurrell Casey, DT, USC
Marcus Cannon, OL, TCU
Jerrel Jernigan, WR, Troy
Stefen Wisniewski, OL, Penn St.

3rd round 3rd pick:

This could be a lot of people, just depends on how players fall

Mile High Report My Two Cents Worth...

one thing about it, McD has gone all in just like were playing poker and it's preflop. I really hated the TEBOW pick but it's really starting to grow on me since I know josh is a very smart coach and can use TEBOWs skills to make it work. We all know that Tebow has changes his motion in only a few weeks so imagine what he can do in a year and a half of everyone telling him he can't do it. I'm just thinking to the future because I remember the days not to long ago when Rivers would almost make cutler cry when he would get in his face. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN WITH TEBOW. If river does this, I see Tebow walking over to the defense and getting them all fired up to take his head of. There will be no backing down at all with him. The more you get in his face, the more motivated he is to kick your A**. I really think that we can use him very well if we can come up with a new form of the spread for the NFL. Tebow just needs a little bit of room. If we can do that, then they will have to press up in the box and that will open up a lot of things including Thomas 1 on 1 and this kid is going to be a beast just like marshall because he is faster already. This would also help out thomas just because of the type of offense he ran at GT, they ran an tripple option so everyone was in the box. There are maybe 2/3 corners in the league that could cover him one on one like that and with him having the speed, watch out. Next year I see us getting a real speedstar RB like mccluster was in this years draft to get the ball in open space. if you have them running the the wildhorse or something similar, you have TEBOW in shotgun, mcclusterX coming down to get the handoff from the top.  Tebow could not hand the ball off and let mcclusterx get into the open field and have thomas go up field. The CB would then have to pick what he wants to do. Either take thomas or mcclusterX. Either way that should leave thomas open but this is all still on TEBOW being able to run the ball when needed and picking up 3/4 yards a carry. I just see this becoming a major issue to cover because right now in the wildcat, they run about 90% of the time. If you can get that to 60%/40% then it will work. There are so many options with Tebow it would be sick. Just my 2 cents. I know most of you wont agree but it could really work.

Mile High Report Marshall Trade Option To Tampa?

I have been looking at the different options to trade Marshall and since Tampa is in the mix now this is what I came up with. I know that we want a first round pick for Marshall but what do you think about this?

Tampa has the 3rd(35 overall) and 10th(42 overall) picks of the 2nd round. What if we traded them Marshall for both 2nd round picks and gave them our 2010 and 2011 3rd round picks. We would have the 11, 35, 42, and 45 pick in the draft and since this is a deep draft we could get good value at those picks.

Pick 11 Rolando McClain(This pick all has to do with who is on the board but this is the guy as of now)

Pick 35 Jared Odrick (DT Penn State), Maurkice Pouncey(C Florida, Charles Brown(OT USC),Damaryius Thomas(WR GT),Bruce Campbell(OT Maryland),Brandon Spikes(ILB Florida), Jahvid Best(RB CAL)

Pick 42 and 45 Terrence Cody(NT Alabama), Dominique Franks(CB Oklahoma), Nate Allen(FS South Florida), Jermaine Cunninghame(DE Florida)

I could keep naming people that could be there but you get the point. With a draft as deep as this you sure have to think about the options we would have.

What do you guys think?

Mile High Report If Rolando McClain Is Taken At 11 Do We?

Assuming that Marshall stays a bronco and is not traded this year. If Rolando McClain for some reason is not there at pick 11, do we go Dez Bryant so we can make sure we have a number #1 WR next year or do we go O-Line? I would have to think we would go O-Line since Bryant has issues and we have to be able to run the ball with the type of QB's we have but there is always the option of drafting Dexter McCluster for our second round pick since I dont think there is any way he falls to the third round. We would still have a big hole to fill at ILB but having Marshall, Bryant, and McCluster all on the field at the same time would be a nightmare and that's not even including Nashawn Marino. For the 3rd round pick at number 80 we could draft Sean Lee from Penn State or Donald Butler ILB from washington(He bench Pressed 225 35 times and that was best of all the linebackers and 5th overall) Just some food for thought...

What do you guys think?

Mile High Report Quinn For Cassel?

Well it's that time again with the broncos and trades for QB's. With the broncos trading Hillis(He was going to be cut), a 6th round pick, and up to a 4th round pick for Brady Quinn if he starts 75% of the games this year. Is there a chance that McDaniels has something else in mind for when he traded near to nothing for Quinn? With charlie Wies now being with the chiefs, one can't help but think maybe McDaniels traded for Quinn so he can put together a package trade for Matt Cassel since he Cassel knows the system and worked under McDaniels for the patriots. The chiefs only gave up a second round pick and Linebacker Mike Vrabel. As everyone knows, there were talks last year about trading jay Cutler for Cassel last year. Cassel has not shown anything but being a bust so fat with the chiefs so do you think it would be worth it to trade a for Cassel? I'm thinking we could maybe get Cassel for a second or third round pick along with a 7th round pick and Quinn. Whats everyone's feeling on this option?
