CJ outplaying his contract?
So I got bored a bit and wanted to see how CJ stacks up against other running backs in the league in terms of salary and here's what I noticed.

Quote of the week by Finnegan...
There's a article on the fear of NFL players and Cortlan Finnegan gave his two cents. Listen to this regarding going mano-o-mano against OT Jon Runyan of the Eagles:
"I think if you go low on Runyan, he may drop the knee somewhere. So I think you have to stay high and just let him baptize you. That's probably what I would do. You know when you go backwards and your head hits first and you wake up as if somebody baptized you or blessed you? I think that would be Runyan right there, all day, every day."
HAHAHA, that has to be funniest thing i've heard in a long time...

Brandon Jones arrested at airport on gun charge
Titans wide receiver Brandon Jones was arrested and issued a citation at Nashville International Airport on Friday for carrying a loaded .32 caliber gun in his baggage, an airport spokesperson confirmed.
Jones was arrested at around 11:40 a.m. and charged with a misdemeanor citation of unlawful possession of a firearm. He was released and allowed to proceed on a flight to Phoenix.
Spokesperson Mary Margaret Miller said the gun was loaded with seven rounds, but none were in the chamber. She said the Department of Public Safety, which is part of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, handled the arrest, charge and citation.
Jones issued a statement through his agent, Craig Domann:
“Today I was cited for carrying a handgun when going through security at Nashville International Airport. Obviously I did not know I was carrying my gun. This morning I grabbed a bag and placed my clothing in the bag, then rushed to the airport. I had forgotten that the last time I had used the bag was when I went target shooting.
“I fully cooperated with authorities who confiscated the handgun at the security gate. I have a license for the handgun and a permit for carrying one. Realizing that I was not intentionally carrying the handgun nor did I have any intention of harming anyone, I was allowed to board my airplane and continue my travels.
“I want to apologize for any embarrassment this might cause my family, the Titans organization or my teammates.”
The Titans said they were aware of the developments but had no comment.
Jones had 21 receptions and two touchdowns last season, his third in the NFL.

LenDale White has been charged with destruction etc.
Crap, this was the last thing we needed.
DENVER - Police issued a citation to a Colorado native and current NFL player Saturday morning.
Denver Police say 23-year-old LenDale White, a running back for the Tennessee Titans, was cited for destruction of property, disobedience to a lawful order and interference and resisting.
The citation was issued to the Denver native after an incident at 22nd Street between Champa Street and Stout Street.
No other information was immediately available Sunday afternoon.

In need of WR
The Titans should seriously consider trading the first round pick for Larry Fitzgerald.
He's proven and we've got the capspace for his 15 mil. salary this year.
It seems so logical, but somehow I don't see it happening.
While I agree that alot of the free agents got way overpaid, I still think the Titans have been slow to actively get a no. 1 reciever for Vince.

Regarding my MLB concerns....
I might have gone a bit overboard with my comments. Let me try to explain a little bit more why I'm concerned with about our MLB position.
I have no problem with our OLB(Bulluck and Thornton).
But based on how defensive formations are aligned, our MLB position is a liability.
A regular 4-3 formation uses 3LB(ROLB,MLB,LOLB) and 4DB(2CB,2S), which is normally what you would put against a 2 WR set with 1TE on the left and 1FB and 1RB in the back.
But once you switch to a passing formation with 3 or 4 WR set with no FB and/or TE, the defensive has to switch to a nickel, dime or quarter formation to account for the higher speed of the WRs, which means you replace the LBs with DBs.
When this happens, the OLBs are usually the ones that get replaced, meaning in the Titans case, that Thornton or/and Bulluck gets replaced by someone like Hill, Fuller or Lowry to assist in the pass protection.
But the MLB allways stays(he might get replaced a couple of plays to get rested), but he allways stays. This means Fowler or Tullock are on the field more than Bulluck and Thornton during the entire game.
Even in prevent mode, the MLB isn't taken out.
I might be an idiot on this, but I allways thought that having your best players on the field gives you the best chance to win and Bulluck/Thornton are clearly better than our MLBs.
I don't have a detailed breakdown of how the Titans line up on defence on specific formations, but from a pure football perspective, this is how formation line-up works.
This is why I'm not satisfied with our MLBs.
I don't mean to critisize at all, I just wish the best for our team to win.
I hope you understand my point and please do explain to me, if this is not how the titans defensive scheme works.

In search of playmakers...
I looked at drafttek.com and noticed that you listed mlb as a non-priority.
I totally disagree with this asessment.
We need a playmaker between Thornton and Bulluck, someone who run side to side.
I'm not sold on Fowler or Tullock at this position. I know Lance Briggs is a OLB, but i'd think he'd be good at that position.
I know we have a need at DE, Jared Allen of the Chiefs would look great i think.
And how about Ocho-cinco lining up as a Titan, i've heard multiple rumors, the bengals might trade him. I think the titans should make a jump at him, since he's a provenwr, who can strech the field. I know, he doesn't block, which is a very bad thing in the titans system, but you can't deny his talent.
And then draft someone like Mario Manningham out of Michigan.
I know my lineup will never happen, but here my suggestion:
Offence:
QB: Young
HB: White/Henry
FB: Hall
WR1: Johnson
WR2: Manningham
WR3: R. Williams
TE: Troupe
LT: Roos
LG: Bell
C: Mawae
RG: Olsen
RT: Stewart
Defence:
DE: Vanden Bosch/Allen
DT: Haynesworth/Brown
OLD: Bulluck/Thornton
MLB: Briggs
CB: Pacman/Finnegan
S: Hope/Griffin
I know it's impossible, but you can allways dream.
