OL: weakness to strength in 1 year?
First post guys... I really love reading the blog every day.
Last preseason the Chiefs OL was bad.... scary bad. Cutting starters and fighting not to compete but to survive. With recent the recent signings of Thomas Jones and Ryan Lilja, and the possibility of drafting upper level lineman in the first few rounds, is it possible that the offensive line may stand as a strength this season rather then a funnel to the quarterback? If Mr. Pioli can reverse our offensive line woes in one season with realtively shrewd moves he gains large amounts of respect from my perspective. Any thoughts? Is it worth drafting a lineman at number 5 over Berry to help set up our line to succeed over the next several years? I would really love ideally not having to make sweeping changes to the line over the next few years to establish a repore and take their play to the next level.
I can't believe how often I check the site. Thanks guys!
Sorry if i posted in the wrong place... still learning!
