Rufus on Fire Is it too late to get Chris Paul?

I've been reading all of the various trade rumors involving Melo, and lately more have surfaced about CP3's increasing likelihood to be headed out of New Orleans.  It would be great if the Bobcats could somehow manage to capitalize on these situations and fill the holes (and/or question marks) on their current roster.

I've come up with some trade scenarios that i believe might not be completely unrealistic, and could benefit both the Bobcats and the other parties involved.  Rosterbation after jump....

Arrowhead Pride Thomas Jones' fantasy footabll worthiness?

Hey fellas,

I have Thomas Jones on my fantasy team, and wanted some feed back about whether or not to start him.

How many carries do expect him to get?

What role do you think he will play in KC?  The 2nd back in a two back system?  Or will he be back up to Charles, seeing limited playing time?

full disclosure:  I'm a Carolina Panthers fan from NC and have always been impressed with TJ since his days at UVA.  I thought Arrowhead Pride might be a good forum to ask.

Rufus on Fire Orlando fans fear the Bobcats.

...yeah right.....

The argument between Magic fans currently going on is Magic in 4 or Magic in 5.  The author of this column says that the Magic have played horrible in the first two games and still beat Charlotte.  I believe his comparison was Varsity vs JV.

Rufus on Fire Whining at OPP....Yeah you know Me!

The officiating was horrible in game 1.  Just ask the guys over at the Orlando Pinstriped Post

Magic fans are upset because Gerald Wallace shot more FT's yesterday than he averages, and the Bobcats shot more second half free throws than did the Magic.

Poll
How would you best describe the officiating in game 1 of the Bobcats/Magic first round playoff series?
Well officiated and fair to both teams.

Poorly officiated in favor of the Bobcats.

Rufus on Fire Bobcats deal for Jamison in three team trade...

...in this trade scenario i am about to propose.

I know "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." But this trade would bring an All Star PF (among others) to Charlotte, while only dealing one player that has seen any playing time during the Cats' current hot streak.

Portland gets:  Tyson Chandler, DJ Augustin, Alexis Ajinca

Washington gets: Andre Miller, Acie Law

Charlotte gets: Joel Pryzbilla, Antawn Jamison, Patrick Mills

Rufus on Fire Big Man Help

Before February's trade deadline, many hope to see the Bobcats add at least some sort of post presence to their roster. The realities are that finding and executing a suitable trade that satisfies all parties involved proves to be a difficult task.  I have identified a couple of  potential trade options that i believe are viable.  I expect you all to tell me why they are not!

Poll
Do you think the Charlotte Bobcats will make a roster move to acquire a post player(s) before the NBA trade deadline?
Yes.

Cat Scratch Reader Armanti Edwards update

From Stewart Mandell on CNNSI.com:

"It's been more than two years since Appalachian State quarterback Armanti Edwards dazzled FBS watchers with his electrifying performance at Michigan, but the Walter Payton Award winner hasn't slowed down. With a 461-yard day against Furman on Saturday (355 passing, 106 rushing), Edwards became the first player in Division I history to throw for 9,000 yards and rush for 4,000."

Edwards may not be the right QB for the future in Carolina.  But it is becoming increasingly clear that he probably has a career as a QB in the NFL -- i hope he gets his shot with the Panthers!
