Born and raised 40 miles from Cooperstown in 1948 I'm a life long fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Love blogs about baseball but that can wander off into books, movies, art, politics, religion, dogs or any other interesting topic. I've only gotten into this lately but I'm very impressed with the level of talent and commitment that many of the bloggers have when it comes to writing about and researching the game. I remember the 80's when you had to wait all winter for the Baseball Abstract to come out for some stimulating reading. Glad to have it here on a daily basis.
