Pics from the Evil Empire 8/27
My 8/27 field trip to Yankee Stadium:
massive yet soul-less park. I was really expecting it to have more character like Camden Yards or Pac-Bell

AJ Burnett stifling Ranger batters:

even the grounds crew is ghey:

after hiding behind my beers waiting for the Yankee deluge on Nippert, somehow things start going our way. I was too busy shaking my head to get shots of Dustin Nippert painfully walking batter after batter, and was too stunned to snap any of Ian Kinsler's massive 3 run shot but here is Crush Davis delivering the death-blow:
"Hey look third base! I haven't seen that in awhile!"

Yankees pay homage to Andrus:

Once again, I was biting my nails with Jason Grilli in, and too scared to take any pics. He was outstanding. MVP of the game in my book. Bridged the gap until the young Jedi could come in:
CJ sez "Alex you look a bit bloated today"
"Nick you're my Twitter-buddy, but I'm buzzing your junk with 95 mph heat"

Suck it!

PIctures from Anaheim 8/8
Hotter than hell at the stadium. The sun seemed to never move from directly overhead. Great game, too bad we could not pull it out. Angels fans have alot of respect for us from what I can tell
Millwood jamming Figgins:
Hacktastic Hank Hammers one deep into right. The fans around said no one has hit one that far out there since Barry Bonds:
The old Jedi on the mound:
the young Jedi on the mound:
8th inning opportunity squandered:

Took some pics from the game last nite. Had some sweet seats behind our dugout
One of the few missed swings:
Angels feeling like they got smacked in the face all nite:
Omar - the man, the myth!
nothing crushes the home crowd like a brutal linescore:
Scooter marches off with his head high:
Not this time!
Hackmaster hammers away:

CJ Wilson 7.1 IP 8 SO 2 BB 2 H 0.00 ERA
These are some dominant numbers. CJ is feeling good and is not having to pitch in pain. His mechanics are back to optimal and he has been impressing the Rangers staff. He is throwing hard with good control and getting strikes.
Meanwhile FF has a 4.50 ERA in ST. 10 IP, 4 SO, 10 H, 1 BB, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 HR, 1 HB. At this point is there any reason not to think CJ should be our starting closer?
