Even though we were being destroyed by the time Valverde came in I was excited to see him pitch. His energy, his attitude is a treat I think.....

Aside from that, why hasn't Qualls been DFAd or even beaten with a sack of door knobs yet ? What kind of idiot puts him in for any reason at all ? And what kind of even more idiotic idiot puts Qualls in and doesnt have like 4 other ppl warming up because you kinda should know that he has an 80% chance of ruining everything. God I hate Qualls.

I don't know about you all, but when I watch a game @ Chase field I almost fall asleep during the "Hot Dog Race".

And this is why. It's not interesting or entertaining at all. I imagine that the outcome is pre determined like the WWE etc. And, the hotdogs do not even run the actual bases. Lame right ? I know they are kids and it's supposed to be fun for them but what's fun about running in place ? Sure the kids are on the largest TV in MLB but that doesn't take away from the fact that they are running in place to a crowd that isn't really interested in the race.

I really think in order to make me happy, the team is gonna have to make some changes to the "Hot Dog Race"

1st thing I would do is change it from "Hot Dog Race" to something more with a South West feel. Granted hot dogs are a Baseball food and everything, but let's give it a Desert/Arizona/SW feel......Let's make it a burrito race. Lets have a breakfast burrito vs. a carne asada burrito vs. bean burrito........something like that.

And let's get some kid's in those burritos to run the bases or even some real mascots.

Or...what about a Hot Dog vs. a Burrito vs a Beer ?

I think the crowd would get more behind the the race if it was more interesting and I'm pretty sure I just made it more intersting.

Ok, now this is only me thinking out loud, though I have discussed this with my inner circle, but I'd like to get your feedback, thoughts and more thoughts on this possible scenario. No matter how hard it seems to imagine/think of, there is a good possiblity that the LA Dodgers and the NY Yankees will be facing off in the 2009 World Series. I know many of you just now threw up on yourself or started bleeding from your ears so please clean yourself up and gain your composure. Better now ? So if this post season does unfold this way what do you do ? Who do you go for ? Do you watch the Series ? Do you watch and throw things at the TV and cross your arms like a 4 yr old who didn't get dessert after dinner ? Do you set yourself on fire in protest ? I mean help me out ladies and gentlemen......... and skins. I've decided that I will watch for two reasons. 1. I like baseball and even though I hate the teams, I like baseball. 2. I hope to Allah that Manny loses his dreds in a lmfao type incident during one of the games in the Series. Like seriously, what if somehow his hair got caught in something or caught on fire ?

What will you do ?

1st, of course, would be the Diamondbacks not being involved. But the 2nd worse thing, the thing that makes me want to vomit out my innards through my nostrils is this...........20 second,  MLB, post season, mini music videos by Bon Jovi. I mean, are they serious ? Bon Jovi ? That band was cool when Young Guns came out and that was like 20 years ago. They are in their early 60s I think. MLB should be trying real hard to get the younger generations interested in the sport. And if MLB knew any better they wouldn't let Bon Jovi sing during the commercials. I could just see the morons in the MLB marketing meetings" Durrrr, nothing says America and Baseball in October more than Bon Jovi, Huurrrrrrrrrrr" I'd rather watch the Viagra guys sing "Viva Viagra" than watch Bon Jovi. You know how many TVs and roomates Ive gone through in the past two days alone ?

My Dad brought this up to me today while we were lifting huge, giant sized weights and being buff in the gym. He told me he noticed lately that Upton will not go near the wall even with all of his size and speed. Rather, Upton will let the ball bounce off the wall, even though he clearly has a shot at catching it, then try and snag it on the bounce which never really goes well for the guy.

I saw it tonite vs Pits and last night too. What is it with him ? Anyone else notice this ? He has the speed and the range but just won't go for it and make that all star catch.

I do not care if you liked him or not. Dood is a good man and gave 100% everyday. I feel like my Moms just died hearing the news that he was released. I knew it was coming, I knew it wasnt forever. But he deserves more. Like a statue. Or a friggin restaurant. Whatever it is he should get one. Big TC is just as much apart of the Dbacks for me as Webb or Johnson or even Gonzo. Yeah he isnt a hall of famer but he is a true baseball player. Villages in Palestine will burn for this........I swear.
