A SOBERING REALIZATION
Just watching the highlights of TCU's loss last night and the sobering realization hit me. For decades no one gave a damn about Texas Tech football nationwide and now no one will a damn about Texas Tech football nationwide. TCU won! 12-0. Fiesta Bowl. Nationwide TV. Who gives a damn one way or the other. For all of those that think to just bring in a big name, move on, win alot of games and we will recapture the imagination of the nation.....forget about it. WE HAD CAPTURED THE IMAGINATION OF THE NATION or should I say MIKE LEACH HAD CAPTURED THE IMAGINATION OF THE NATION. Whether we won 8 games, 9 games or 11 games it was the genius and unorthodox style of Mike Leach that made the nation sit up and notice. 60 Minutes, Gameday, New York Times etc. groveled at the feet of the mad genius. So Kent, Guy, Gerald or anyone else with blinders on, go on deceiving yourselves into thinking that we will just replacate what we had. You idiots! As much as I love this school we will continue to be Jerkwater U. and Backwoods State. 7-5 or 12-0. Don't believe me.? Just go ask TCU if anybody other than Frog fans give a damn!
Alamo Bowl....I'M COMING AND I"M BRINGING HELL WITH ME!
So many of us have asked......what can we do? Well, here's a plan.(Excuse my getting in the quote from the great movie "Tombstone"). I'll be heading for the Alamo Bowl with 12 tickets Friday. I will get some white window paint and put 'FIRE MYERS" on the back window. Will you do the same? Can we have thousands of those messages around San Antonio? Also, I will bring about 10 poster boards and a black marker into the game with me! I will leave them blank until I get into the game in case the sign police check at the gate. I will write "FIRE MYERS" on each sign and will try to get the crowd to do the chant! Will you bring poster boards and include your own 'FIRE MYERS" message? For those of you that are much more computer savy than me please pass this message to all your Tech buds and lets get thousands of windows painted and signs within the stadium so that our little buddies at ESPN can't miss them when they pan the crowd. Maybe out "elite administrators" will get the message that they can't just sweep their actions under the rug or wait a few days and we will all go back into the woodwork. Do me a favor if you agree with these actions, reply and let me know. And if you agree...........please pass this wherever you can so that we can mobilize and march on San Antonio. See you on the River. Thanks
They Have Spoken and Now I Will
I played for the Raiders; I went to school in the Hubbaplex; I was fortunate enough to cover sports there hosting Coach Myers show for a few seasons and I spent many hours helping Kent Hance in his congressional race and he in turn got me out of many, many traffic tickets as my lawyer. I have spread the word of Texas Tech around this nation. Two of my sons that fly jets for the air force even wear the red and black and their buddies took to giving the "guns up" sign as they flew in and out of Iraq and Afghanistan and other beauty spots around the world. Last year, during the Leach contract fiasco, some of you many remember that I called for Leach to move on and lets grab Art Briles so this is not a rant about keeping Mike Leach. It is a very heartfelt statement.......I AM DONE! I am embarrassed and discouraged by the continued actions of the Texas Tech administration that continually makes our university look like a laughing stock. So I am making a statement in the only way I can so these folks will understand. I will NEVER buy another t-shirt, vest, head cover, parking pass or football ticket to a Texas Tech event. I would also like for the ticket office to please take back these 12 tickets that I purchased for the Alamo Bowl, but I'm sure their response to that will be like their response to their fan base around the world. Nothing. The thing that puzzles me is that Kent and the regents are very intelligent men that no doubt love their school but don't give a rat's behind about what I, and thousands like me, think. So.....I am done! I'm not some fanatic that will spout off one day and be back on the bandwagon the next. Perhaps the saddest thing I have encountered is my 70 year old cousin, a Lubbock resident and Tech lieflong fan, told me today that he now realizes he will never see Tech join the big boys in his lifetime because we are run by small minded wannabes. So goodbye. I might ask you to join me, if you are already stuck going to the Alamo Bowl, in bring poster board and printing FIRE MYERS on those boards. I am going to do everything in my power to start the FIRE MYERS chant just like we do RAIDER POWER. I hope you will join me. I never thought i would see myself taking this action, but it is the only response left to me. These folks will never respond unless you hit them right between the eyes with your pocket book. I will be writing Gerald and Kent personal letters letting them know personally how they have let me down as a friend, but more importantly as a Red Raider. My best to you guys and will see you in San Antonio for the finale of a 50 year love affair.

Tough Year
Spent last weekend in the Hub and waited a few days to reflect. Much like Seth, I was displeased by what I witnessed during the New Mexico game but decided to not instantly jump off the bridge. However, after discussing the situation with CITYMAN of Plano I do believe we, for many reasons, are back to the old days of being hot and cold Texas Tech. Some days we will blister people. Other days we will be completely overwhelmed. Overall, we are fighting dismissals, youth and less than stellar talent. I have no clue about the QB situation. We have NO lead receiver. I have never seen a more passive defensive line. They should be on dancing with the stars. I love the way Bront Bird plays all out. However, I think our linebackers are a step slow. And I think the scheme leaves all front seven vulnerable. Am very impressed with our defensive backs. They can bring the wood. Nice punting game as well. Also, being in attendance reminded me how much I hate television games. God, the lack of momentum in the stadium is dreadful. However, I was greatly impressed at the large crowd. I remember the days when the likes of NM would have brought out a crowd of 35,000. However the LONG delays due to tv prohibited any chance for crowd involvement. I guess I am a glutton for punishment since I will be back in the stands for yet another television marathon this week against K-State. Overall, the program is way up from the past. Its just that this year because of all the above circumstances we will be forced to fight our butt off to keep our head above water. See you guys in the Hubbaplex this weekend.
Seth....A Favor, Please
Seth,
I am writing to ask you a favor in remembering a great friend of mine, and one that many of football fans around the world will recognize. When we did the Plano East-Tyler John Tyler game, the third member of our booth was former Lake Highlands football coach Mike Zoffuto. He uttered the most famous line of the telecast when he exclaimed "God Bless those kids, I'm sick, I want to throw up" as John Tyler returned the last kickoff for a 49-44 JT victory. I don't know how to do all the attachments etc. but the highlights with that famous line can be found on utube if anyone needs a refresher. I just returned from Amarillo where Coach Zoffuto is in a home with early alzheimer's. It breaks my heart. He is all alone and I wonder if you might share his address with our Tech family and, if possible, get the message out to as many sites as possible. Any one that has ever thrilled to the highlights of the game and repeated Coach Zoffutto's famous line might want to give him a bit of sunshine by dropping him a note to say just that! If we could put ourselves in his shoes I think we would treasure being remembered when it seems that all is lost. His address is Mike Zoffuto, Canyonview Estates, #240, 7404 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Tx. 79106. Thank you for all your help and God Bless all that will take a bit of time to help someone in a tough way.
HARRELL-VASQUEZ?
Have not been keeping up with the draft. Can anyone tell me the buzz about Harrell and Vasquez? Where have they worked out etc. What are the draftnicks saying about what might lie in store for each of these Raiders. Thanks for all your insights. I cannot find a thing on Graham Harrell's activities. Where has he been preparing for the draft? While I am at it has Brandon Williams been traveling around talking to teams? Would find it hard to believe that these guys would go the way of former Tech players and have to sign free agent contracts with a pro team.
No Trust......No Peace
Like the rest of you I have spent way too much time thinking about this situation....flip flopping from one side to the other. Being a Tech alum my loyalty remains deep through thick and thin. Being a fan of the lead Pirate I have enjoyed the limelight he has brought to our university. Both sides have been incredibly inept during this process. There is enough blame to go around. However, I have come to the conclusion that there is no way out of this situation because there is no trust for the other party from either side. If Leach signs a new deal he will still have no trust toward Texas Tech's administration. If Leach signs a new deal the administration will have no trust toward Leach and his agents.
This conclusion is painful to admit but I think that it is time that Captain Leach is bought out. He will be owned 40% of his remaining two years. That would be around 1.6 million for two years. But you would also save the $800,000 bonus due the end of this year and I believe another $200,000 at the end of his next season. Not a great deal of money for Texas Tech to be out.
I would hate like the devil to not have him at the helm, but if he does not leave I think we are only putting off the inevitable down the road. I truly feel in my heart that if Leach had gotten in a room with Kent Hance that this thing could have been hammered out but Leach let his angents try to big dog Texas Tech. Let me tell you from personal experience that NOBODY big dogs Kent Hance. He is from Tech, he will do whats best for Tech and when he dies he probably wants to be buried in memorial circle. Can you say that about Mike Leach? The captain has been given a bit of a pass nationally because....well....that's just Mike Leach. Texas Tech has been made to look like a little country school that can't handle the spotlight. Truth be told there is.....and will not be ...any winners from this situation. Again I repeat that bottom line is No Respect from either party for the other one. I think tommorrow the BOR will approve the expenditure to buy out Mike Leach and Kent Hance will roll out the plank.
From there we find a person who bleeds red and black and wants to build on the wonderful stage of our development. I believe if this is not done then we are headed for another situation where it takes us many years to recover. See Jim Carlen and Steve Sloan departures. The Captain will find another job....although it won't be as high profile as you might think. Not many D-1 major programs will allow his "quirkiness" and refusing to hob nob with the fans or money people in their program. Should he have to do this as part of his duties? See Mack Brown, Bob Stoops, Jim Tressel and Pete Carroll for the answer. Texas Tech? Get your butt to Waco or Houston or Arizona and get a "Tech Guy" and don't miss a beat. Will it be easy? Nope! But we have alot to offer if we don't shrink back into our shell. Can't get a great coach you say? During the Carlen-Sloan-Moore disasters we were turned down by a pretty fair country former Texas Tech guy, and then we turned around and turned him down for the job. How would those lost years have been if we had hooked up with Grant Teaff? We will never know! But there are other guys out there that will build trust from both sides. Having put thoughts to computer I think I will go barf! God Bless Texas Tech but I really do think I'm gonna be sick and throw up!
Potential Fallout over Leach Drama?
I understand the back and forth in contract negotiations. But has anyone thought about the potential fallout on recruiting on all this drama? There are several outstanding recruits, including Rex Burkhead from Plano, that have Tech in their finalists. But I am not sure, if I was a recruit, that I would be too excited being surrounded by all this uncertainty. You can bet your life that the other schools competing against Tech are using this for all its worth to have the recruit scratch Tech off their list and commit to them. I would hope that the lead Pirate has thought of this. Even if he has his coaching staff staying in constant contact with the recruits you can be the situation is causing many to consider committing or even de committing if they have already listed Tech as their choice. Your thoughts?
IF HE LEAVES.....HE LEAVES! DON'T PANIC
I love the excitement that the lead Pirate has brought to the Red Raider nation. But please remember that coaching is a business! If he were 6-6 fans and administrators would be screaming for him to be fired! (See Pablo's comments over the past few months about firing coaches). If he goes then we need to load up the moneybags and PISS OFF THE BAPTISTS AND SECURE ART BRILES! Briles is a high school coaching legend with four championships at Stephenville. He is a raider who coaches running backs here. He is a winner (See Houston and the job he has done at Baylor). He is loved by Texas high school coaches cause he is one of them. And in my opionion (with absolutely no basis of fact or inside information) I believe that Tech would be his dream job. He would be home! He would be a hero to the Texas high school coaches association! He would run the spread and continue the excitement! AND HE WOULD NOT BE LOOKING TO GO ANYWHERE! HE WOULD BE HOME!! And surrounded by folks that talk like him with his Texas drawl! I hope Captain Leach stays......but if he dosen't...........GET ART BRILES AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SETH.....THANKS ALOT
Just wanted to take a minute to tell you thanks for all the hard work you have put into this endeavor. I know that I have really enjoyed all the information you have passed onto all of us knuckleheads. Thanks for allowing us all to have a forum to express, argue, question and bleed red and black. Again, you and the entire Red Raider nation have made for an enjoyable summer and fall. From a personal standpoint your blog and the activities at Texas Tech have allowed me to share many great times with my two sons who are flying jets for Uncle Sam in the dirt of Afghanistan and Iraq.
As mentioned elsewhere, I have sent many TT hats to pilots around the world and they use the "Guns Up" on the tarmac. My best to you and all Red Raiders around the world. Peace to us all.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I hope that some of the football program, players, coaches, administrators etc., take a peek at what is said on this site. I just wanted to tell them all what a wonderful experience this football season has been. On Saturdays it has been a blast keeping up with my Tech buds from Virginia to San Francisco. I have never enjoyed having my weeks revolve around the excitement that Saturdays have brought this year.
Yesterday I was visiting with my youngest son who is flying jets in the middle east and told him that I believe that this football team has garnered more attention to Texas Tech in one football season than the rest of our combined athletic history. He told me that many of his buddies throughout the pilot world have become Texas Tech fans and many of them use the "guns up" sign when they start their flight missions.
Once again it has been an honor to follow you guys this year. Your enthusiasm and excellence has made us all very proud. You should be very proud of yourselves for bringing all of us Tech fans to the edge of our seats every week. I believe you have set the bar for us all to strive for in the years to come. Congratulations and best of luck for the rest of the season.

WHO WOULD YOU TAKE?
Way too much time on my hands (look in the mirror) so I thought I would come up with this little exercise for all you hot blooded red raider football fans. After a few games.....but just before the real bloodletting starts answer these questions.
From the entire big twelve, which of these would you choose to go to war with once conference play starts.
1. What offense would you put on the field? Mine would be Mizzou.
2. What defense would you put on the field? Mine would be Oklahoma
3. What one offensive player is the pre conference mvp? Can you say Chase Daniels?
4.Who will be the conference offensive mvp? Sir Mike Crabtree here.
5. Who will be the conference defensive mvp/ OU DT Granger.
6. Who will be the conference newcomer of the year? Baylors Robert Griffin it says here
Bonus question. Who will be the coach of the year in the conference? I'll go for a good old Texas high school coach in Art Briles of Baylor who will get the Bears four wins on the year.
Let me hear from you. I'll be in the Hub this weekend. The only way we get into trouble is if UMass brings their basketball team to play Harrell and Company. Guns Up Ya'll.
LIKE A DUCK.....PART TWO
Wow, that last post seem to unleash some sentiments from us Red Raiders that, perhaps, we had been holding back, less we hurt our collective little feelings.
But let me give you the other side of the pillow. My comments came out of a deep respect and love for this great place we call Texas Tech. That feeling caused me to speak out because over the years I have seen too many Red Raiders willing to hide in the shadows of the "big boys".
I'm here to tell you its time that we all quit thinking of ourselves as little ole Texas Tech. Starting at the top we have one of the great leaders of any university in smilin Kent Hance. A world class politician, lawyer, fundraiser and saddle tramp who put it all on hold to come home. They don't get any better than this driven man who takes a backseat to no one. He has never been afraid to take on anybody. If you don't believe it you should have been there in the '70's when we kicked Junior Bush's butt in the race for congress. Kent will go stride for stride with anyone and we should help shoulder the load to not take a back seat to anybody.
Facilities? Name me a better place than the United Spirit Arena. In the near future our football facility will be on a par with anybody. Baseball? I played on the old field that faced the bubble. Golf? What campus has a course like Rawls.
Academics. I believe its undergrad, graduate, law and medical all on the same campus. Certainly that puts us right at the top.
But that leads us to out -in -the -middle of nowhere Lubbock. Give me a break! The Hub City is a great place. A true college town. The rumor is that most of us had a great time of what we can remember from being there. Hard to recruit to? Have you ever been to Lincoln, Nebraska ? Admit it......when you started there you could only dream of leaving the high plains......but as the years went on you came to see what a great, great town Lubbock is.
In my mind what makes Lubbock so great is the PEOPLE. Salt of the earth people who love Texas Tech and straight shooters. So like any family, we can demand of ourselves but I don't want to hear any naysayings from the Aggies or Longhorns or Sooners.
Finally, be proud of what we are. Demand Greatness of ourselves. Never accept second class status. We will only be what we demand of ourselves. So instead of sitting on the sidelines and complaining.......pitch in when the school asks for our help. Contribute any way possible. And always, always be positive about one of the finest universities in this great land. Guns up and kick SMU's ass!
IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK...............
Held off from commenting last week.....but enough is enough. This football team, who has never won anything, has taken ALL their publicity and filled their helium filled heads with it.
They have no enthusiasm nor enough balls to stuff inferior teams in the toilet. See Mizzou, OU and Texas for an explanation on stuffing crappy teams. We are just content to go along as little ole poor Texas Tech. The chemistry sucks and it looks like all the offensive players want to see who can get in the spotlight first and foremost.
I am sick and tired of hearing how great our defense played while giving up 500 yards. They suck when compared to the big boys! I'm tired of Leach being quirky and labeled as a mad professor. He coached like crap and plain stupid. Quit looking like Vince Gill with tight underwear and pull your head outta your ass.
Unless they pick it up the big boys will pressure the hell out of Harrell, who will cough it up, and our defensive line will look like swiss cheese as Texas and Oklahoma will run our ass of the field when they are not passing through out deer in the headlights secondary.
Enough of the feel good off season crap. If you are the 12th best team in the nation you are only going to be an underdog once or twice this season. Kick somebody's ass and quit playing like an overrated bunch of babies. Am also sick and tired of the apologetic "well, at least we are 2-0". Big damn deal. YOU SHOULD BE 2-0.
Finally, it was a team effort Saturday night as even Brian Jensen and John Harris put on the worst broadcast I have ever heard. Stumbling over words........making no sense calls on plays.....not understanding what was happening on the field.....and trying to pass humor off to cover up their lack or preparation or maybe they were just as bored with the game as the team appeared to be. Come on you guys, you gotta be better than that. I could hardly keep up with the action due to your poor broadcast. Where have you gone Jack Dale and Bob Nash!
Lets not accept a mediocre team! If you want to run with the big dogs.......get your asses off the porch!

Easy There Pilgrim
Don't put up all the sharp objects in your house just yet! After all you could be a fan of Clemson or Texas A&M. However, it would be silly if you overlooked the fact that Tech came up with 18.....THAT'S 18 penalties on the night against Eastern Washington. I don't care about what stats your team puts up, if you continue to have that many miscues you will not have a great team. A lack of concentration should never enter into the makeup of a great team. When you play a team as talented as you are, these little things, will prove to be the difference.
I for one will be watching for an improvement in this area, as well as defensive front pressure and shut down ability this week against Nevada. Small steps make for large improvements. Wow, the conference, North and South, looks wonderful. It will be great to be a big 12 fan this year.
Pitiful
Told you we couldn't play with the big boys! Tired of seeing the cows up front not stopping anybody. Just put all linebackers out there and quit joking that we have a defensive line. Please tell Chris Parker to put on a dress since he is beter at playing dolls than playing defensive back. Graham Harrell is like A Rod. Get their stats and home runs when they don't mean a thing. And Graham, please quit crying! Once they get in your head you are done for and your own team knows it. I am sick and tired so seeing him throw off his back foot and speaking of feet I told you he had none. When it comes to scrambling and making something happen see Colt McCoy. Please Free Taylor Potts. Hell, maybe he can play defensive line or defensive back . Besides McBath nobody else can. If only we wcould play smu, nw la, sw la, ne la, north texas, baylor, texas state, sam houston state etc then we would not be the same old 7-5 texas tech.
FRAUD......FRAUD........RED RED FRAUD
Like most of you I just got back from the hub city. Let me say, I will never go to another television game. Way TOOOOOOOOO many time outs giving the crowd nothing to do but sit there with their hands in the lap. Boring as hell! Now, not meaning to pile on boys and girls.....but this team is a fraud. Time to face the fact that good teams have caught onto the better mousetrap. I believe I said at the first of the year a good defense will stick their backs in our receivers faces and blitz the hell out of our qb. Bingo....see colorado, mizzou and wait for Texas and Oklahoma. Not once did we try to throw the ball down field. All dink and dunk. And I am confirmed that Graham does not have the big arm to throw the deep out. Thats why I say he is as good as he is gonna get. No NFL upside. Sorry. Speaking of that, our offensive linemen may never get to the next level because all they do is backpedal. Hate to say it but sometime to win you gotta outbutt the guy in front of you. NO RUNNING GAME WHATSOEVER! The defense held on for deal life. If you will remeber, they only gave up 14 at the half. But Leach was horribly outcoached. I think he must not be a good morning person. It looked like he had his head up his butt the whole game. There is a chance this thing falls flat. Oh sure, we will cream Baylor and Lubbock High and have another outstanding 7 win season and make it to the toilet bowl. Yea!!!!!!!!!! Play with the big boys? Please! Not with gimmicks. You might trick em every now and then and also beat up the little sisters of the poor......but we ain't ever gonna beat a team with better athletes or teams that are gonna line up and beat us into the turf. FRAUD......FRAUD......FRAUD. Oh, yeah, FREE TAYLOR POTTS.
I love the circus and talent rules everytime!
I have spoken of Taylor Potts and his major league talent. Have you ever seen NFL caliber talent? All you had to do, for example, was see the ole RedHead, Billy Joe Tolliver, throw for Boyd high school, to recommend him to Tom Wilson, sign him for Tech and wait for him to get to the nfl. Thats what I'm saying about Potts. If you get that type of talent, you let him take his lumps, grow and lead you where the average or above average kid just can't. Think about outstanding talent that you may have seen at Jones stadium like Gabe Rivera, Andre Tillman, Curtis Jordan, Don Rives and Billy Joe. They are just men amoung boys and their talent pulls everyone around them to a high plane. And their talent makes those around them believe in great things. Talent always wins out and that talent does not come along very often. Please don't misunderstand.....i absolutely love to watch Tech play, win or lose, its just so entertaining. But I know about once in a decade i see nfl talent on that field. i just want to see it more often. Harrell is a nice quarterback, who like the three or four before him, will have great stats and own the record book when he is through. But, just like many high school players who don't make it in college because they were as good as they are gonna get, Harrell has no great nfl upside. Not enough arm and no feet. What you see from him now is all you are gonna get out of him. Thats the only point I am trying to make.
Same old, same old
Come on, lets not dogpile on these guys, they are just what they are....and entertaining little football team that dreams of respect! Respect? Beat somebody that counts, when it counts and win a title or two. Until then Tech deserves to have the rest of the country smirk or roll their eyes. Even though many of you brought your wrath down several weeks ago when I questioned Graham Harrell and spoke for Taylor Potts I will tell you again. Harrell is a one trick pony who chokes on the big one. Did it in the playoffs at Texas Stadium against Highland Park and see the results at Missouri and last year against Missouri. Great, great numbers against the little boys of the world like Minnesota.....but he is not big time. So if you must, enjoy his wonderful meaningless numbers. Play in the NFL? Please, he has a pop corn arm and no feet. Free Taylor Potts. However, I enjoy watching the circus play. Its entertaining as heck but thats all it is with no championships in sight.
Eyewitness observations from Saturday
First game I have ever sat in the stands at Jones stadium. Ten years of watching came from sidelines or press box. Observations. Stadium is beautiful. Fans in the South endzone are fabulous. Nice touch to have Tech players move along endzone and shake hands with fans before the game during warmups. Hate the wave, but seeing the "slow wave" was one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed at a sporting event.
Game observations. Defense ran well and needs to keep it up. Wall is a fine defensive back. Crabtree is everything that he is cranked up to be. Can you say a young Michael Irvin? Will play on Sundays! Edward Britton is horrible. His hands will rust in the rain but worse, he runs sorry routes and many times fails to run hard on his routes as if he knows he isn't getting the ball. Speaking of that, the best thing Crabtree does is continuing to move after Harrell has to move with the ball. That's why
Crabtree gets so many passes.....he continues to move and improvise and find open spaces for Harrell to find him. Now to incur your wrath, Harrell is a nice quarterback but he throws from his back foot leaving the ball up for grab way tooooooo much. A great defense will eat him up with his average arm. I know its not gonna happen but Taylor Potts is a Sunday afternoon quarterback waiting to play on Sundays. He has an incredible arm and throws the ball on the line. If he got every snap you would not believe his performance. He is a once in a decade talent so go ahead and revel in Harrell's success but know that every snap he takes is one less that Potts gets. One day you will tell your friends that you knew Potts was the best to come out of Texas Tech in your lifetime. Leach knows it too because he plays Potts more than he ever did another "backup" quarterback. FREE TAYLOR POTTS and cheer for Crabtree because he is gone to the NFL after his junior year. By the way, in last weeks blog, I predicted 75-0. Sorry bout missing on NW La. total.
Not enough d to overcome top teams
Until Texas Tech comes up with an outstanding front 7 they will never go to the next level. South teams will stuff the receivers and stop 40 points a game. Sooner or later you gotta slug it out to be a real team. Until then it seems a bit of a fraud and a middle of the pack team.
Been watching these guys for 40 years...and the best tech teams could d it up and gut out a win in the trenches. Sooner or later athletic d backs will shut down the small receivers.
