This guy bashes the Clippers in some idiotic way. I loved the comments section.

Clippers sign another player

This just happened after coming short of what could have been an epic win against one of the hottest teams in the Western Conference.
To add even more power to the lineup of HART-JONES-COLLINS-P.DAVIS-SKINNER, the Los Angeles Clippers make another move that hopefully is going to boost the season for good. And finally establishes a more sincere goal to the franchise.

Looking at the player´s highlights I found, it´s crystal clear he´ll fit perfect in Mike Dunleavy´s system, requiring minimum adjustements from the coach.

I like this Kaman Trade, do you?

reading the bulls blog, I came across with this fantasy trade. I think it ´s kind of realistic and it would be a good move for the Clippers.

Here´s a part:

¨ So, what I propose is simple:

Bulls send: Hinrich, Gooden, Nocioni and Noah

Clippers send: Kaman, Ricky Davis and Hart

Kings send: Miller and Udrich

Bulls receive: Kaman, Miller and Hart

Clippers receive: Nocioni, Noah and Udrich

Kings receive: Gooden, Hinrich and Davis¨

it would be beneficial if we can get something like this for Kaman, don´t you think?

Does this says something to you?

When a team losses game after game you keep looking for reasons. The one that came to my mind is the abysmal difference in performance between the lineup and the 2nd unit. I made a little research looking for contribution the team is getting from the bench. This is the list of top scorers from the bench in every game.

When in 15 games full of losses you find out  the high score  is 18 (in a blowout loss to the lakers), you easily guess the team could be better with more production from bench. Lots of teams have a guy who should be a starter but comes from the bench (Terry, Odom, Ginobili, Barbosa). That is coaching in the NBA. It´ s not to call every play like in high school, but distribute the minutes and find the lineup, beetween players who are pros and know what to do in the court.  In my opinion, Al Thornton should be the man boosting the bench. Dunleavy could be starting a Novak who can be productive in limited minutes with the starters, and bring Thornton from the bench to have his way against 2nd units. What do you think Clipper Nation? Is Dunleavy getting the most of his players?

Dear citizens: We didn`t want to see

Before the regular season started, a lot of articles, featuring analysts to former clippers players, said things that, we the people of Clipper nation, with all the hype of a big summer, discarded. I can tell that after only 10 games, they were right.

For instance, some stories were:

- Maggete: BD ¨is in for a rude awakening¨.

- Hollinger: ¨the marriage of BD and the Clippers is doomed from the start¨, ¨Thornton is old and doesn’t have much room for improvement.

- Everybody: Ricky Davis is a perennial loser

- Thankful Jazz fans: Jason Hart can’t play NBA basketball.

- Lots of people: ¨it s the Clippers¨.

- Olympic games: Kaman was a bust.

I´m sure you can come up with tons of these stories...

The point is: it was all there. We didn’t want to see. We nearly cursed at people who dared to rank the clippers in lottery territory. This year, more emphasized than others, we thought it was going to be the season when we finally take off. Well…

Now, I ´m feeling the need of closing the chapter of high expectations, that were based on beliefs, because I hadn’t seen anything tangible, something like a new group of players competing together on the same court.

I don’t think this post is any good, but I do hope it helps bury those expectations for good. Maybe, this way, a simple game played with heart, win or lose, will be welcomed. And get back to roots. And start building a positive vibe. And renewed expectations will grow. Again. Will it be possible this time?

Baron Davis has to be the only player who comes to play to his hometown and that is seen as a bad thing.... I dont know, a lot of players play at their hometown and they re not bashed for that... . And is BD the one player who has other interests besides playing basketball ?

Also look up on Thornton, a paragraph Clipper Steve is going to like:
¨One other thing to note about Thornton is that he was unusually old for a rookie and turns 25 in December, so his time frame for progress is much more compressed than that of a typical draft pick. ¨ No mention of age for example on Luis Scola, another 1st rookie team, who entered the league at 27.
