Life long Steeler fan; avid Steeler autograph collector (currently trying to get an autograph from every player to ever make a Steelers roster); lived in Pittsburgh when I was very young; live in Packer country now; have never been to a game at Heinz field but have watched the Steelers on the road at the Astrodome, Silver Dome , Ford Field and Lambeau Field. Super Bowl XLIII was my favorite Super Bowl of all time.

I am not sure if this is true, but Jim Wexell thinks it is. That is good enough for me. The link is to a Mark Carman's twitter page. I am worried about how this will turn out, but maybe Haley will be good if he is trying to save his career.

Good interview with Coach Kugler. He has some interesting stuff to say about Marcus Gilbert and Maurkice Pouncey. I didn't realize Pouncey is only 21. That explains some of his tweets. He is still growing up.

I hope we see some plays like this against the Pats from our awesome safety.

Greg Lloyd recently let it all fly talking about the commish and new rules for defensive players in the "soft" NFL. Lloyd is one of my all time favorite Steelers, and a man who I am not sure would punch me in the face or shake my hand if I met him. Great, great player. Enjoy the article.

This is a cool interview with Steelers LB coach Keith Butler. I don't want LeBeau to retire, but I would feel pretty good about having Butler take the reins if and when Coach Dad hangs 'em up.

Mike Tomlin has named Dennis Dixon the opening day starter against the Falcons. Dixon took all the first team snaps today while Charlie Batch ran the second team.

I know the Steelers did not have a great running game last year, but I think 22 is too low for them. The blurb on the Steelers also undervalues Mendy and bashes Fast Willie. If Dwyer turns out to be a find, we could have a much better running game this year. I hope so anyway.

Yeah! A pro athlete from the NFL AFC North is making negative press, and he does not play for the Steelers! It is nice to not have the negative spotlight on our team for a little bit.

Normally, I am not impressed by what Bettis says, but I think he is right on in this short question and answer session with Dan Patrick.

Wild story about an uninvited fan in the Steelers locker room after Super Bowl XIII. That guy had guts!

This is a really good interview with Kevin Colbert on Fox Sports 970. It is very cool. It sheds some light on what they were thinking when they made some of the cuts this pre-season. Sonny Harris was a tough decision for them.

I was out on the net looking for Steeler media guides of all things when I stumbled on an old Dr. Z. Sports Illustrated article. The article was retyped by hand by a big Steelers fan. It is a very entertaining read, and it reminds me again how great the 70's Steelers were. Enjoy!
