Hey,i've been a cubbie since 1984,i had a car wreck and was in bed for the summer of 84,all i could do was watch the tube.W.G.N. was here in Texas and i watched mostly cause Dave Owen played for the Cubs and i went to school with him (my parents were friends with his) anyways,they would pull Bowa late in games in favor of Dave(younger,more range).As the season went,i fell in love with Harry Carry,and the boy's!I have had my heart broken many times(as all of us have).Last year they finally came to Texas, I went to all three games, I've been to Houston to see them, and got to take a trip to the temple in 2003, Wrigley was better than I ever thought it would be, the Cardnials beat us the 1st game (fat albert hit 3 h.r.'s).Then Greg Maddux, pitched a 5 hitter c.g. againts the Red's for 298 I think. I've been trying to plan a return trip,but kids, job, i.e. problems...lol. My fav's are Andre Dawson, Ryno, Mad dog, and Dave,I have many more.As promised when we win it all (see, we dont say W.S. in my house) I WILL DANCE NAKED ON THE FRONT LAWN!! I have been reading b.c. for about 2 yr's, great blog, keep up the great job,I hope to see ya in the bleachers someday.
