Cohan for Governor! Who's with me?

I think Chris Cohan has shown through his 16 year tenure with the GSW that he is not only adept, but IDEAL in playing a pivotal political role in our society today. Who else would be able to fill the shoes of the Governator? I mean who else would be best suited to step into a field they know diddly squat about and be able to ACT like they know WTF he's doing, while running the show into the ground?

The Warriors FO was right, Randolph is going to be a "Special" player in this league, just not w/ the god forsaken Warriors!!!! Of course not, as Cohan and Rowell sit there in panic mode and put up the ENTIRE squad on the trade block, they'll more than happily sacrifice the future of OUR team, for a few quick ticket sales and some (much needed) revenue for Cohan.

What an about face, huh? At the beginning of the year the FO said they had "big plans" in store mentioning the acquisition of "Beef" up front and what do we get? Devean "Who the F*** Cares" George and Mikki "Feed me"Moore. WAY TO GO guys! It's not the players faults, they'll take the contract they can get and put in as much effort as they want.(See S.Jackson Extension) But like any good politician, you over promise and under achieve. At least your sticking to the stereo type you bastards.

But.....

Then they turn into the "Rebuilding" mode and state that we're working around the young core of players in Randolph, Curry, Morrow....remember, with no mention of Monta at first....and Now what? The ENTIRE squad is on the trading block? ARE YOU F'n KIDDING ME?

I guess the Christmas season applies to discounted Warrior players also? HURRY, HURRY, 50% off on all young talent! Not only that, but we honor ALL Coupons, yep, ANY expiring contract you can throw our way, we'll give you twice the value! How could you pass up that deal?

Randolph is not living up to the hype huh? That's where we're at? At 22 MPG, 11 pts, 7 Reb is pretty damn good if you ask me. I think we all forget the kid is only 20 years old! As I had posted prior to the season if Randolph could come in somewhere near 15pts 8 Rebs a game , while STARTING I would have been happy. This isn't that for off considering Min.

And in watching the games, it's true he's taking some Maggette/Baron/Jackson like bad shots, early in the shot clock, but his all around game is still unmatched by ANY Warrior big IMO. As for his Attitude problem that I've been hearing about. Isn't it a coincedence that damn near EVERY player has been rubbed the wrong way by the FO? So who's the real problem there, huh?

Everyone of our players has had their faults. Monta is a turnover MACHINE, Morrow can't create for himself, Maggette is a black whole who has a memory span of about 10 seconds because he can't remember that he can't hit 3's.

I know some of you agree with me, some don't. Each one of us has the "cure" for the Team in our own minds. But I think realistically we have to admit at this point there is nothing we can do. We have been and ARE the laughing stock of the entire league, while our talent should have been the focal point of our look to the future, it will now be the reason we have to sell low on our players. Just a few days ago, ESPN's article about the chance to make the playoffs listed us at 0.05%, like we didn't know that all ready, but they also listed which teams have a future, we were 2nd to last, even with all of out "talent", primarily because of the font office, now SI ran a story about being the Worst Franchise of the DECADE!

You never know, we may put together a package and bring in someone that will have GSoM buzzing again, a Bosh, a Gay, a Boozer, whoever. But realistically, we know we have to over pay with talent, and that is ruining the future of this squad, after all, once that player gets here, I'll take odds on how long the FO and Nelly will take to make some stupid comment about them and piss them off.

I don't believe in Karma, so I'll be the first to say that I wouldn't care the slightest if lighting came and struck down Chris Cohan. Like any other politician, or corporate CEO, what he or his organization says should be taken with a grain of salt. The Warriors are in this for the money, what little they can get, if WE BELIEVE that they have any interest in the fans and our views of hopelessness, then we have fallen into their grand scheme of things. Not that it's any different from any other organization, but at least their better at deceiving us by putting togethr some resemblence of an attempt at winning.

Sorry my rant was so long, I love the Warriors to the point that writing this makes me angry, and I hope like all of you that this ship gets turned around soon, however I think it'll be best to call a mutiny, make the Captain walk the plank, burn it,sink it and build a new one.

Because he definitely qualifies w/ his busted kneecap. They say it could could take up to six weeks, but like back injuries, knee injuries can linger for quite some time, thats if they ever go away of course.

Not that I wish injury on anyone....let me rephrase this. Not that I wish injuries on the specifically Griffin or the Clippers, but this definitely hurts the chances of them in the Pacific. Do you guys think,in a screwed up way, this ends up opening up a little for the Dubs?

Not to mention the ROY competition just got a little more like " 3 Fly's Up"

Steph's Summer League performance

The Anthony's have torn it up during Summer League and I'm def excited to see what they add to the young Dubs squad during the season. But I think we're all a little underwhelmed by Stephs play during the last few games. But today, one thing stood out to me that was writtin in a True Hoops story.

At the conclusion of the Warriors/Hornets game, a crowd of kids gathers to try and get an autograph from Morrow. Morrow finishes with media and throws his jersey into the throng of kids, only to have them lunge at it and break the security barricade fighting for it. A younger fan desperately clutches the jersey while another fan struggles to rip it away from him.

While this scene is unfolding, I am interviewing Steph Curry and the two of us stop to watch what's going on. We are both a little unsure of what to do to comfort the boy who is about to cry. Curry then stops the interview, goes over and gives the boy who lost out on the jersey his game-worn shoe.

Now I know this doesn't count for Points/Stats/ Or Wins when it's all said and done. Which is how he'll be measured by us the fans in the long haul. But in hearing Curry speak to the media and seeing the type of leadership and character he brings to the team. I have to say it's refreshing to feel like we have something that will, in time, develop into what this and every team needs. Players that care about they fans of the sport, and the people who support them. Aside from the required "NBA Cares" commercials.

So though some of you may be disappointed in his debut performance, we should all realize that along w/ the performances that AR and Ammo have put together, Steph's should also be taking w/ a grain of salt. He's young, new and brings a good energy to the squad.

So I hope that if nothing else, he follows in the line of fan favorite Warriors like JR and Adonal. Guys who give it all because they KNOW we care.

Does Amar'e think we're mediocre?

So ESPN recently asked Amare some questions regarding his future w/ the Suns. I'm not sure how to read the comments, as he spoke about a "mediocre team", and I hope he's not talking about the Dubs.

"Right now, it all depends on what team I decide I want to go to," Stoudemire said. "If I want to sign an extension with a mediocre team -- probably not. I'll sign an extension with a team that has a future. You follow what I'm saying? The ball is in their court now."

Is it me or is this contradictory to itself?

At least he's still in the dark as much as we all are. But I'd sure hate to get a guy that doesn't want to play for us. But with the Suns in rebuild mode, I'm not sure how much better he thinks they'll be than other teams in the West this year.

They're going to be losing Barnes, probably Hill. What do you think? Sans Amar'e, are we better than the Suns this coming year or not?

So we're all buzzing off the the Amar'e possibility. But seems like that Suns are butt hurt that we got Stephen Curry @ #7 and the deal could be losing it's legs. No indication the Warriors would go this way, but what if they look to add that "beef" through Free Agency?

Looking @ Chad Fords latest list of available FA's. We need to take into consideration that some are restricted, but would any GSoMers be interested in some of these player out there? Also, not to sure about the number, but does anyone know what kind of flexibility we currently have w/ the cap? Maybe some more player movement to dump some $$$ could have us bringing in a quality player.

I've added a poll to see what kinda of player we're really looking for. The list includes some small players that could play the 3/4, and some larger 4/5 players(at least in our system). I know there are a few other like Gooden, Wilcox and Frye that could fill some roster slots, but I'm going for the bigger named players.

REMEMBER: This is hypothetical, if we could get a FA. Not counting the Cap.

With all the rumors swirling from Baron being offered up to us constantly, and the fact that the Warriors are taking some hard looks at swing players, even though we've been stacked at that position for quite a while, do any of you GSoMer's get the feeling that we gonna be picking in the mid-late first round instead?

In this recent article from the examiner it's discussed how Baron keeps getting offered up by the Clips, and the fact that the Warriors have and are continuing to pursue Bosh, heavily. And now the Dallas Morning News is saying that the Warriors may trade Stephen Jackson?

The fact that the pics we are bringing into camp,except for Jordan Hill, have been projected to go much lower than 7th overall, makes me think that we are really looking to trading the 7th and probably some players to a team picking behind us. Which would hopefully mean getting a good quality starter back in return.

What do you guys think of the possible trade of Jax?

Also, Today's ESPN Insider has Bosh stating that he wants a max contract, when asked if he would give Toronto a home town discount to surround him w/ a better squad, he basically said NO, but as he put it, "in a nice way". Not sure if the Warriors could swing the trade, then offer the Max and still have Bosh willing to re-up. Seems like we may have to fish elsewhere, which bring me to this question...

Last year during the trade season, Tim Kawakami wrote an article (which I'm trying to find) on how well Zach Randolph would fit w/ the Warriors, despite his conditioning. A big body in the paint who can flat out score and give you 20-10 a night, with little D to boot, so'd he'd fit right in. Would you guys be opposed to trading for Zach Randolph? Maybe some blockbuster combination that would bring Baron and Randolph? I'm sure this would include something like Mags, Jamal, and Ronny or BW plus an extra Mil or 2.

What are your guy's thoughts?

What do you guys think? With Randolphs recent insert into our rotation after Biendrins went down, I think the kid has shown that he could play? I've been a big proponent of our most recent 1st rounder, and I think with a little smoothing of the edges, we could have something special.

As for the BD to the Bay article, I'm not sure what it would take. But if it could comprise of some smalls, and maintain most of our bigs, I don't see why we would do that. Cap allowing of course. The interesting thing is that the Clips have a surplus of bigs at this point, so I'm not sure they'd be seekin that in return. This could be interesting.

What impact does you believe this will have on the West?

This is in my opinion the most "Realistic" liineup for our squad to put on the court as soon as we get Jamal in Uni. Since Monta's wrapped up and place under our Christmas tree until we can unwrap him in late December(if that early), how do you feel about the new look Dubs?

In reading Hollinger's analysis on ESPN, this caught my attention and got me thinking....

"So in a nutshell, the Warriors improved their present without severely impacting their future, while the Knicks improved their future without severely impacting their present. All the attention will be on the latter aspect because of the implications for the Great LeBron Sweepstakes. But don't underestimate the former -- the path to a spot in the West's top eight just got measurably tougher, so fans in places like Dallas and Denver should care about this trade just as much as those in Cleveland."

Real GM says that Donnie Walsh is once again lookin to pick up Al Harrington to play in D'Antoni's system. Looks like the Knicks wanna give up Curry, but the spurs want to get in on the deal and have Curry go their way, so they might give up a piece to the Warriors...but who?

The Dubs want David Lee, straight up.

This sounds feasible for us, hope to see something develop sooner rather than later. What do you guys think?

Saw an interesting post on Real GM, thought some of you may like it, and to tell you the truth, I hope I never see these guys like this again this season, cuz it'll be on the sideline next to Monta during game time. LOL..

Tony, you might enjoy some of these too as it's a look we don't see to often. Maybe you could go a little Good Fellas with these pics, or some GQ type stuff...haha.
