$53,797 and change per inch

(moved from Fanposts by request of Rev Halofan)

Looks like Billy of ChOakmont has thrown away the book.

He signed sixteen year old 79 inch pitcher Michel Inoa, of the Dominican Republic, for $4.25 million dollars.

I guess Mr.Bean thinks the kid will grow a couple of inches and make this deal look like a bargain. But I think he should have paid by the pound instead. Which would be at $20,238.10 per, at the time of Michel's signing.

Bartolo Colon has been placed onto the 15 day disabled list because of a bad back.

The Big Mango just can't seem to stay healthy. Just when things get going good for the former Cy young winner. His body gives out on him. Must be time to eat.

So he collected his check and is on his way to Tony Roma's to cash it in for some BBQ.

I was at a Little League meeting tonight. And after them we sit around we have a-coldda-one while chewing the fat, and poke.

The VP of the league was in SoCal this past weekend to see his daughters college graduation ceremony. He was talking about his trip and explaining about the new extra baggage fees the airlines charge now. Then he got to talking about the game he got to see at the Big A on Sunday vs. the Dodgers. See any fights I asked, "not too bad" he replied. Then he began his story.

He was at the game with his family, including his 7 year old granddaughter. He didn't bring all that much to SoCal, and the triple digit weather was making it hard for him to decide on what to wear to the game. He ended up choosing a tanktop, and a UH #15 jersey over it.

While walking to the game his granddaughter, and wife, were teasing him about his fashion sense at the ballpark that day. The granddaughter says "Look PaPa. Everyone is wearing Blue or Red, and PaPa is wearing Green. What are you thinking PaPa, have you no sense."

This is going on for the length of the walk. She was just giving it to him, then. A man comes walking by yelling " Colt Brennan #15 University of Hawaii. He's from around here." My friend then smiles at the granddaughter. Then the man goes " How many you got here? One, two, three, four. There's four of you, so here's four tickets. You need tickets, take them."

My friend goes "Great. Now I don't have buy tickets, and can save money."

Then the granddaughter asks " What are you going to do now PaPa?"

"Buy more beer with the money I saved."

He knows that I'm an Angel fan, and asked me to thank you guys for the Aloha.

Arturo Moreno, the best owner in professional sports, is willing to sit down and talk contract with Fransisco Rodriguez, the best relief pitcher in Major League Baseball, sometime during the season.

"There are two sides to every door," Moreno said. "Our side is wide open."

Rodriguez had sought $12.5 million in arbitration. Asked after the ruling what he'd have thought if someone had told him he'd be making $10 million , he grinned.

"I would have laughed at that person in the face," K-Rod said.

This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.

What is the scheduled Angel programs on the home station for our team. I searched, and looked, and clicked, and surfed, and hunted, and seeked, and explored, and hunted, and checked, and ... to no avail have I found anything.

So could my fellow Angel fans help me in finding out what is available for listening on the intertubes over here away from the O.C. On KLAA, or any other station that might have pre, post, or anytime shows about the lads.

Anybody who bought vids from MLB.com is fresh outta dough. You are now unable to view previous purchases because they changed the way they steal money from you.

Found here:

Boing Boing

With original story here:

Pissed&Poorer Sox fan

I feel that MLB should give away this content for free. If they would like to build up their fanbase with the younger, poorer, generation. Let the fan who can't make it to a Major League contest be able to enjoy them, and use that saved up cash for goods, or save up for a dream trip to a game.

Lucky for me I try and do get this wanted content for free, as in beer, sos I bypass the man.

Arrrrrrr.

Who could have made the list by George Mitchell ?

Do you think this could be real news without the mention of the A-Rod ?

When will it come out? After the Red Sux get eliminated ? Or is Mr. Mitchell waiting for the year end meeting for the Skankees to finish up next week to give us a peek?

Lets see I got the Sux, Skanks, and A-Rod in this post. I'll send this to EaSsPeeiN as my resume.

Here it is folks. Fresh off the presses.

Well, that didn't take long. When the New York Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs Monday night, the baseball season, for all intents and purposes, ended.

No, the story in baseball is now all about one man. One agent, to be exact, who seems to believe he is the first in history to represent a deity.

Is there a guarantee with this, or how about some fries

The Sex Pistols will play a one-off gig in Los Angeles next month, with tickets being given away by a US radio station.

The show will take place at the Roxy on Sunset Strip, Hollywood, on 25 October - two weeks before six dates in the UK.

No tickets for the Los Angeles concert will be sold - instead, fans will have to win them through Indie 103.1FM.

The punk group have reformed for the 30th anniversary of their seminal album Never Mind The Bollocks, and recently went back into the recording studio.

They re-recorded their single Anarchy in the UK - the first time they had been in the studio together since the 1970s.
