I am a 24 year old Appalachian State graduate who liked the school so much I went back for grad school. Three-Peat Nation! My main interests are MLB and college football. My favorite college football team is obviously the Appalachian State Mountaineers. I also feel obligated to root for other NC schools as well..I guess. I am a rapid baseball fan. In my youth I loved the Yankees as I grew up right in the middle of their 90's dynasty. However, my new favorite team are the Washington Nationals. Living in NC it is the closest MLB team other than Atlanta. I hate driving to games in ATL, well really driving in ATL period. When the Expos moved to DC a few summers ago we started making the trip about 5-6 times a summer on weekend homestands it is only about an hour further than Atlanta and I enjoy the city much more. My wife and I became diehard Nats fans in the process, not to mention all of the jobs that are available in DC for a couple of history majors.
