This will be as awkward as the first time my family and my wife's family met each other.

Every Day Should Be Saturday Paul Finebaum, Gays & Legion Field

Yesterday, while driving from Columbus to the cultural mecca of Medina, I had the (dis)pleasure of spending 30-40 minutes with Paul Finebaum and company on XM 143.  I typically enjoy his show, despite his arrogance, because I appreciate any type of passionate CFB chat (and because I feel like a fly on the wall in enemy territory).  But yesterday things got wicked ignorant:

Here is the paraphrased summary:

Caller A (angry white guy): Northern Yankees hate the South because it took them seven years to win "the war" despite having much more ammo and twice as many soldiers.  The reason northern football is so weak is because the North is filled with gays.

Caller B (somewhat effeminate sounding man): this show is stoopy, what's up with the gay bashing?

Finebaum's response to caller B: FIRST AMENDMENT!

Caller C: We should put all the gays in Legion Field and gas them.

Finebaum's response to caller C: Giggles!

Did anyone else catch this?  What the fuh?

Every Day Should Be Saturday youthful infraction

"As a result of Christian’s youthful infraction (that does not involve drugs weapons or any form of violence). Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools imposed a severe punishment on our son in which we appealed to their highest form of due process."

If the youthful infraction wasn't so terrible, why are the LeMays being so weirdo secretive?

"Christian will now prepare himself for the next season of his life as he takes this time to become stronger, Spiritually, Academically and Physically. With the help of fitness trainer Any Hendel of Cross fit Charlotte and QB coach Steve Calhoun of Armed and Dangerous, Christian will certainly be prepared to arrive in Georgia this spring ready to compete. We are fully confident that His best days are still yet to come. GO BULLDOGS!!!"

This could be from an Onion article. But it's the NYT:

It began six hours after he arrived — "I iced a friend at lunch," he said — but really took off at a barbecue around the family pool in Belmar the next day. "There have been over 20 icings so far," Mr. Rospos, a 25-year-old aerospace engineer said, a beer cozy carrying a warm bottle of Smirnoff Ice clipped to the back of his belt with a carabiner. "You have to watch yourself."
