UGGGHHH!!! I Missed The Game!!!
I need some help from my Rock Chalk Brethren. I am in the middle of moving across the country to a new assignment for the Air Force. Unfortunately for me I was halfway between San Antonio and El Paso Texas at 3:00 on Saturday. Needless to say I had no data coverage to listen to the game on my phone and I could only pick up one radio station between the AM and FM dial and that was a Southern Baptist sermon. Thank goodness my brother was able to keep me updated via text messages though the coverage was spotty I was at least able to keep up on the score. He even called me with two minutes left in regulation and put the phone up the the TV speakers so I could listen, unfortunately for me the vast west Texas wasteland and cellular coverage do not agree with one another and the call dropped with 10 seconds to go so I missed the T Rob block to force OT. Anyway, to make a long story short, is there anyone here at RCT who recorded the game and has the means to get me a copy? Short of that does anyone know how to find a replay of the game? I simply have to see this game and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Who will replace Turner?
Considering he was not hired by the current AD and the team has been putrid since he took over, Turner Gill has to be a "Dead Coach Walking". There are some pretty interesting names on this list. Thoughts?
Houston Highlights
I was not overly excited about this pick but after doing a little research, I think we got one hell of an OLB. I would not be surprised if this kid is starting in the opener (if there is one).
Lenny Dawson and Otis Taylor Picture
Does anyone have a link to the picture of Len Dawson drawing a play in the dirt with Otis Taylor?
d. The interference call on Brandon Flowers to help seal Kansas City's defeat. Should have been offensive pass interference on Andre Johnson, obviously, but went against the Chiefs and capped their 21-point fourth-quarter meltdown. Worst interference call of the year.

I am buyin what Romeo is sellin, are you?
Two games into the regular season may be a bit too early to judge our defensive turn around, but you have to be pleased with the early results. Coming into this season one of the biggest concerns with our defense was the run defense, our front 7 got gashed by opposing running games on a regular basis. So what was our answer to the problem, bring one new player into the front seven, a rotational nose tackle, and a new defensive coordinator with several Super Bowl rings. The early results?
Forgive and Forget?
With Tyson Jackson making our defensive stats look like we have 10 players on any given defensive play, Matt Cassel looking like and average QB, at best, Mike Vrabel on the verge of retirement (I include Cassel and Vrabel in the 09 class because of the pick we gave up for them), Magee, J. Williams and Q. Lawrence on the roster bubble, D Washington, Colin Brown and firmly entrenched on the bench, it appears the only SOLID long- term solution picked up in the '09 draft was Ryan Succop. While the 2010 draft of Berry, DMC, J. Arenas, K. Lewis, Moeaki, Asamoah and Sheff looks to have yielded at least 3 rookie starters, 3 solid contributors and 1 high upside project (so long as the neck injury isn't too serious).
In light of this, admittedly, limited data the 2009 draft class appears to be headed for bust status and the 2010 class looks like a hit. If this does hold true and we see no signifigant contributions from the 2009 class but the 2010 class yields 4 starters and 2-3 signifigant contributors, will you be able to forgive Pioli and Co. for their 2009 bomb?
The Big West
If NU and MU bolt for the Big 10, I say good riddance. I have seen the Pac 10 and Big 12 are talking maybe this is posturing to create pressure on the Big 10 courted teams, but I really believe the ultimate super conference could be in the works. These two conferences could combine to create the Big West. 20 teams, great athletics, great scholastic schools and every major market west of the Mississippi. The conference would be an immediate candidate for a HUGE TV deal. A Big West would be a nightmare scenario for the SEC, Big 10(11,14... whatever) and Big East. Personally I would hate to see the Big 12 split up but if it does this would be the best option for KU, K-State, ISU, OSU and the Texas schools not named the Longhorns. Thoughts?
Anyone notice a theme?

Eagle Picks on AP's Mock
Check out the picks I have made so far over at Arrowhead Pride and let me know what you think, feel free to jump into the discussion as well. I also want to thank all the BGN folks who gave me some great info on where the picks may best be spent. One more to go I will probably be lurking again in the near future to gleen some more info for the 2nd 2nd rounder and I will definately post a link after the pick is official.

Is Tapp the answer?
I am submitting my mock draft pick for for the Eagles in Arrowheadpride's mock draft and the following players are available:
Brandon Graham
Taylor Mays
Dan Williams
Mike Iupati
Everson Griffen
Devin McCourty
Carlos Dunlap
Sergio Kindle
I really want to pick Graham but with the aquisition of Tapp, is there an area of need that would outweigh DE? There is still 1 pick ahead of me so I need a primary and backup pick. I am leaning Graham or Iupati.
Thoughts?
I need your help
I am participating in a 2 round, 32 team, mock draft on the K.C. Chiefs SBNation blog, arrowheadpride. While I do have some knowledge of the Eagles, it is mostly limited to what I have read or heard from the national media outlets. As you may know the percieved needs of the national media and the local fan base can be miles apart. From my limited research the primary needs I have identified would be DE/ OLB/ CB.
What I would ask from you is, what are your hopes in the upcoming 2 rounds of the draft? The rules of my mock draft do not allow trades so it is straight picks. I hope at the very least, I can spark some good conversation and I look forward to seeing how the true Eagles fans view their team, thanks for hearing me out.
"Filed to ESPN: Free-agent CB Dunta Robinson and Falcons agree to a six-year contract."
Didn't see anything on this at AP so here ya go...Sorry if it is a repeat. From Schefter's twitter page "Filed to ESPN: Free-agent CB Dunta Robinson and Falcons agree to a six-year contract."
There has been a lot of talk about Free Agent defenders (updated)
But what about free agent offensive linemen? If we can fill the O-line needs through free agency that would free up 1 or 2 of the first 4 picks for the defensive side of the ball or WR. I know getting an elite, franchise Left Tackle or great interior lineman is pretty unlikely through free agency but with the money the team has available we may be able to wrestle one or two away.
Romeo leaving already?
I heard a rumor that with George Edwards accepting the DC job in Buffalo, Urban Meyer is persuing Romeo Crennel for the Gators' DC job. Anyone know if there is fire to accompany this smoke?
I should be a network exec!!
Reading the recent post about Tamba Hali's Pro Bowl snub got me thinking about how to more fairly distribute the nationally televised primetime game. Yes, I do live in the real world and understand that as long as the Dallas Cowboys of the world build billion dollar stadiums and claim to be the team that represents the nation, there will be no fair distribution of games but I wanted to throw this out there get some input.
