Year Of The Pitcher
Look at who's headlining "The Year of the Pitcher"
D-backs prospects.
I know everyone is all busy getting pumped for opening day and Rockies domination (I am too!), but I had a quick question for people who follow prospects a little closer than I do. I'll be attending a couple South Bend Silverhawks games coming up (cause this is the closest to real baseball without going all the way up to Wrigley), and was wondering if anyone knew of any interesting prospects currently there for me to scout out. Any highly drafted or otherwise intriguing players worth paying attention to? I know this post would do better at the Snake Pit, but I'm not a member there, nor care to be. Just curious what we know/want to know about our division rival's farm.
Go Rox :)
Bad Calls Abound (via Big League Stew)
Tim McClelland blows a call in favor of the higher-market team. Glad to know we're not alone.
It's official, Barmes is out of his slump.
I kid, of course. There's no possible way that we can judge where we are in that nasty nasty 2nd half dip (via RMN) that we've been ripping on Clint about, but if the last two games have been any indication, I might jump to the conclusion that it might not be as bad this season as that curve would suggest.
Last two games: 6-9, 2 R, 5 RBI, 1 HR
And after a breakout game on Wednesday, who's in the 2 hole? Our boy Barmes. What does he do? Bats in Dex.
Yes yes, he was up against a "glorified AAA team". I don't care. The fact that Tracy had the faith to return Barmes to the 2 hole shows to me that Clint proved it to Tracy.
And I trust Tracy. 8)

Just in time for us not to have to see him.
Sorry if this is old news, its news to me.
