In my joy of reading about the Pats losing last night I see the Pro Bowl Ballots are now up.  I began filling out the ballot giving my votes to any one who doesn't play for the Giants, Pats or any other team I do not like and I get to the Free Safety section with the joy of actually picking a Bill.  I scroll through it and Byrd's name isn't on the list and there is no write in section.  As the main and some times only bright spot this season Byrd deserves the recognition.

Here in my tiny farm town in Upstate New York hockey is mainly a non-issue.  If you want to talk sports you had better know the Yankees, Giants and Bills, and in that order.  I was lucky in that, my father had a friend who worked for the Utica Devils and we would go to a game a few times a year.  I had loved the games but did not have a team to root for until this Brodeur guy, who had tossed me a puck while I watched a pregame skate, was called up and a New Jersey Devils fan was born.

I have been wondering since the start of the season what the lines would be when Patty comes back.  Now that we have had a chance I was wondering what every one thought the lines might look like when he returns.  Here is my guess.

ZZ Pops
Rolston-Zubrus-Elias
Bergfors-Niedermayer-Clarkson 
Pandolfo-Pelley-PL3

Note- I say keep Clarkson on the 3rd line since he works well with Niedermayer but also keep him on the 1st PP unit.
