While publisher Random House will reportedly not publish Tim Donaghy's book "Blowing the Whistle: The Culture of Fraud in the NBA" because of liability concerns, deadspin.com printed what it calls excerpts of the book.

I find it pretty interesting, even if there is no supporting corroboration.

Cool website that shows you gameflows of all the NBA games. Basically it tracks who was in the game at what point, and the plus/minus of each player and team at any given point.

Good to know that not all LA writing is biased. Not that it still doesnt really respect Houston, but good to know they have a sense of humor and they can make fun of their own team.

http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-simers11-2009may11,0,194153.column

He even disses Plashke or whatever the hell his name is. Haha my favorite quote while speaking to Derek Fisher:

"but I've found for the most part that most of them can dress and talk at the same time"

As the season winds down, one team trying to make a push into the Western Conference's upper seeds is Houston. The Rockets have overcome a slow start and the loss of Tracy McGrady to put themselves in position for homecourt advantage in the postseason's first round. Sportingnews.com's Sean Deveney got Shane Battier on the phone to talk about gearing up for the playoffs.

9 teams competing for 8 spots...

Phoenix is predicted to be left out with Hollinger's playoff odds -http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/playoffodds

I am gonna have to go with Dallas as of now. Although theyve played well so far without Jason Terry, I'm not sure that will last.

But that could all change with Phoenix trading away Amare or Shaq...

Anyways, what does everyone else think? No matter what, there will be some huge games at the end for the Rockets, last 8 games:

@ Phoenix, @ Lakers, Portland, Orlando

@Sac, @Golden State (back to back)

New Orleans, @Dallas
