Fish Stripes Carroll

BC got called up last night !!! What do you think this means for the outfield? I mean with Coghlan & Maybin struggling at the plate do they give him a chance?  I think Coghlan is just slumping this year so i think they need to keep him in the line-up. I still think they should let him try playing 2nd, sometimes i wonder if he is all that conformable playing the OF?

Whats your guys thoughts on this?

Fish Stripes Opening Day line up

What is everyone's predictions for the opening day line up?
I think it should go like this:

Coghlan LF

Ross CF

Hanley SS

Cantu 3B

Uggla 2B

Sanchez 1B

Baker C

Carroll RF

Johnson P

Thoughts?

I got Ross in CF and Carroll in RF- I think they need to go ahead and give him a shot now. Maybin is still struggling and i think day-to-day BC could be a very productive player.  He is already the best outfielder we have and he has proven if given AB's constantly he is going to produce.  Look what he has already done in spring training with a chance to hit a few days in a row.

Fish Stripes Can someone explain to me why Coughlan is getting so much playing time?

He is at best an average hitter... Friday night I was at the Marlins- Dodgers game: Game Scenario- Runner one third (1 out) Someone hits a ball to shallow left field.  Coughlan catches hit, runner tags.  He tried to throw the guy out at home, the umpire fell on the ground trying to dodge the ball (the umpire was standing on the mound).  It was the worst throw I have seen in a long time.  They are sacrificing good defense for these guys to get in the lineup.  We have 2 true outfielders in the lineup right, Hermida and Ross (3 if you count De Aza, but after watching him try to catch that pop fly the other night not sure).  The rest of these guys are utility players that can hit sometimes...

It makes me so angry that the Marlins organization is letting players like Maybin and Coughlan play just because they are big names and are "supposed" to be good.  They need to makes some trades and get some pitching in there...

Thoughts?
