I know how it is. The whole week coming up to the game you endlessly plot all different possible matchups. You constantly question if certain players can step up and do certain things. Like can M.Turner convert on that 4th and one, or can Ted Ginn make that catch in the endzone. As you do your browsing during the day on the Dolphins vs Falcons game (cmon who actually does work during the football season?!) you may come across a player, a scheme that we run, or just a general inquiry.

Today, as many of you know, is Memorial Day. This is the day in which we remember and pay homage to those who have died trying to protect this nation. Many of you know this as just a three day weekend...but it is much more than that. This is not just another extra day off from school or work, rather it is a much more important day.

Whether you approve or disapprove of our involvement in certain wars, to ignore this special day is ignorant in the fullest sense of the word. These men and women died to protect the ground you stand on each day. Their blood was shed so that you and your family would be safe. They gave the ultimate sacrifice for this nation and they deserve our utmost respect.

So I ask you guys...not just today...but all week...make that extra effort in honoring one of our fallen soldiers...or even a live one. Say what you want about the toughness it takes to be a football player, or grinding through medical school, or training to be an astronaut...take all those hardships, add them together and that is what a soldier and their families go through every single day. So I have a challenge for all of you guys. Take the initiative to find one family in your area that has a loved one who was in the military, still is in the military, or who has died and send them your regards. Something as simple as a letter or even a knock at the door is enough to brighten someone's day.

The future again looks bright with the dolphins...atleast they look good in shorts. The reason you guys were bombarded with this Scrubs Tribute (near the end) was that its final season has ended and it is without doubt my most cherished and favorite show of all time. It had that amazing ability to intertwine comedy-medice-comedy and more comedy. I am praying it comes back..but chances are that is not going to happen.

The Miami Dolphins have hired former Boston Red Sox executive Michael Dee as CEO of the team and Dolphin Stadium, the team announced.

Dee’s duties will include business development, marketing, sales and capital stadium projects. Dee was previously the Red Sox’s Chief Operating Officer.

"I’m thrilled to be able to add someone of Mike’s background and expertise to our organization," Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said in a statement. "His accomplishments with the Red Sox greatly expanded their business footprint and amplified the team’s standing as one of the premier franchises in professional sports.

We left off last time in a heat discussion on how awesome it would be to have a new type of lollipops.

As of right now its me, cb, and nicky finnally got his decoder activated.

I agree in the notion of having scrubs as the nations number 1 show.

Watching the game on Sunday made me realize how fortunate we are right now. Many of us at the end of last year would have been complacent, satisfied, rather thrilled if we had 5 wins going into the 2009 draft. It would have marked a 4 game improvement and a step in the right direction.

There were two things that many did not anticipate. The Trifecta and James Chadwick Pennington (more on him later).

Let’s start with the Trifecta.

On December 19, 2007, the Miami Herald reported that Parcells had agreed to become the new Executive Vice President of Football Operations of the Miami Dolphins. Forever more the fate of the Miami Dolphins would change.

Quickly the man called "Tuna" brought in key members to aid him on his rebuilding project. With a completely revamped coaching staff he truly began this thing called… "Rebuilding."

The combined analysis says that Miami should win this division. Of these five categories, the Dolphins lead in three: Yards per pass attempt, scoring defense and turnover differential. Those three areas cover both offensive and defensive strengths and indicate that the Dolphins not only have more balance among the three leaders but also more punch in this three-game AFC East sprint.

 

 

Overall he makes a very good statistical breakdown about the AFC EAST divisional conquest (not a race...this is not track and field...this is football...a battle ....WAR on the grid iron).

I would like to start of this by saying Thank You. Honestly thank you. Not only did you beat the jets, you demoralized them. Plus with your glorious victory you now dropped the jets to 8-5 giving a three way tie for number 1 in our division. So seriously, thank you.

By the time the Dolphins reached Week 14 of the 2007 season, they were united on one front in a locker room otherwise lacking in unity or pretty much anything else typically associated with success.

"We were ready for the season to be over," defensive end Vonnie Holliday said.

The Dolphins were 0-12, on their way to 0-13. Their first win would finally come in Week 15 ... and would be followed by two more losses to put the finishing touches on a 1-15 disaster.

A year later, the Dolphins find themselves in such a different place that it almost boggles the mind. At 7-5, they enter Week 14 only one game out of first place in the AFC East.

"Now you're sitting here in December and you're in the hunt," Holliday said. "Coming off of last year, I never thought that we'd be where we are right now."

Our great nation did not just spring from the ground. It took sacrifices and courageous efforts by the armed forces of our nation.

As many of you know, today is Veterans Day. A day in which we pay homage to War Vets. These great men and women sacrificed their future so that we can have ours. So I want you guys to take 5 minutes today, and just remember about anyone you know who served in the military, anyone who is currently serving in the military, and anyone who ultimatly sacrificed their life while on duty.

It will only take a moment of your time but it is very worthwhile to remember and think about these heroes. By all meanings of the word, these great men and women truely are heroes.

For those of you who have served this nation or any nation, my hat is tipped off to you and you will forever hold respect and esteem in the hearts of many.

Just take a quick moment to watch this very touching tribute...share it with your kids or family members, so they also can remember.

This is hard for the first time so there will be growing pains...

Look at the formation... we have a basic Dolphins offensive formation.

2 Wr's, 1 Te, A Fb, and Rb.

For you madden jocks, this is called a Weak I.

Nothing much to say about the package that is notable, other than that that Louska Polite isnt playing FB, David the terrific Martin is at the position.

Alrighty then...lets take a look at the routes.

We have R-biz (Ronnie Brown) running a play action fake, then hooking up around 5 yards past the LOS.

We have on the outside, both Wr's running whats known as a Corner Go, or fly fade route, for madden (hot route + reciever button + right analog stick up).

Anthony fasano, chips off the DE, then runs an out.

David Martin just runs an out. Chad P...drops back to pass...after the PA fake...and looks to pass

You guys are still following? This is where my lack of graphical skills become apparent.

The corners are playing an interesting coverage. The corner on Camarillo plays a tight press coverage. Mcgee, on Mach 19, quickly drops back.

The D-line is rushing without a stunt. The de, look for a contain, coming around the edge, while the Dt's try to bull rush...(doesnt work...trust me).

The Lb's all drop back into a medium zone type of coverage. The only "safety" is shading in a mid-deep zone toward the left.

You may be wondering where is that other dude?...theres only 10 players on the defense...THATS THE THING! there are 11 players on the field, but all that safety does is drop back into deep "mid third" of the field. Upon writing this i realize my mistake on not including him...but oh well..in the still frame on the tv broadcast that safety isnt shown...next time ill include him...(only if im front paged)

Woohoo...now  this is where it gets a tad it confusing?

Well lets go left to right...Camarillo...SHUT DOWN....running his go pattern was cut down by the press corner.

After chipping...fasano is well into his out pattern.

The blocks are picked up by the o-line...so effectively...that satele is just coasting in the middle picking grass...

.Ronnie brown after the PA is about to turn for his curl...martin just made his cut on the out....and "chaddie chadwich" is analyzing ....

Holy guacamole? You still following...well Nice....the blue things are not ants...thats the ball progression...all i had was paint cause i have to reinstall photoshop...but im not jersquall....as you can see...chad made a nice throw on a short lead to ted ginn....

John beck would have led ted ginn to the end zone with an even NICER throw...but thats neither here nor there....

Take a notice on how that LB, comes up to play ronnie brown on that Play action (he is sucked inside)..leaving david martin's out very very wide open.

If camarillo could continue his route...there is a wide open fasano...but in this case Pennington knew who he was throwing too...because not only was there that terrific ted ginn speed but there was also no deep help for the corner.

that "ghost" safety is played mid deep third and would not have time to help...(ball travels faster than the person)

So what do you guys think? dont ask ted ginn...cause he'll make a face like this...

So overall this was an anticipated throw that the coaches had selected well before seeing the coverage or before the game started. They wanted to start the game off with a BANG! and this is how they pulled it off.
