Time to Remember

Today, as many of you know, is Memorial Day. This is the day in which we remember and pay homage to those who have died trying to protect this nation. Many of you know this as just a three day weekend...but it is much more than that. This is not just another extra day off from school or work, rather it is a much more important day.

Whether you approve or disapprove of our involvement in certain wars, to ignore this special day is ignorant in the fullest sense of the word. These men and women died to protect the ground you stand on each day. Their blood was shed so that you and your family would be safe. They gave the ultimate sacrifice for this nation and they deserve our utmost respect.

So I ask you guys...not just today...but all week...make that extra effort in honoring one of our fallen soldiers...or even a live one. Say what you want about the toughness it takes to be a football player, or grinding through medical school, or training to be an astronaut...take all those hardships, add them together and that is what a soldier and their families go through every single day. So I have a challenge for all of you guys. Take the initiative to find one family in your area that has a loved one who was in the military, still is in the military, or who has died and send them your regards. Something as simple as a letter or even a knock at the door is enough to brighten someone's day.

While i have you here...

The future again looks bright with the dolphins...atleast they look good in shorts. The reason you guys were bombarded with this Scrubs Tribute (near the end) was that its final season has ended and it is without doubt my most cherished and favorite show of all time. It had that amazing ability to intertwine comedy-medice-comedy and more comedy. I am praying it comes back..but chances are that is not going to happen.

So pay homage to a great show...and go out and either get the dvd's or i can provide a link for you (via email of course lol or matty will get mad : finsxfactor@yahoo.com)

Dolphins Hire CEO

The Miami Dolphins have hired former Boston Red Sox executive Michael Dee as CEO of the team and Dolphin Stadium, the team announced.

Dee’s duties will include business development, marketing, sales and capital stadium projects. Dee was previously the Red Sox’s Chief Operating Officer.

"I’m thrilled to be able to add someone of Mike’s background and expertise to our organization," Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said in a statement. "His accomplishments with the Red Sox greatly expanded their business footprint and amplified the team’s standing as one of the premier franchises in professional sports.

Michael Dee has been named as Chief Executive Officer of the Miami Dolphins and Dolphin Stadium, it was announced today by Dolphins Owner and Managing General Partner Stephen M. Ross. He will oversee the marketing and sales effort of the Dolphins and will explore new opportunities for the team to expand its brand on both a local and national level. Question about mobile sbnation

Is there a timetable on when posting comments will be available on the mobile (phone) version of sbnation? I am frequently using my phone to check on thephinsider.com and I would love to be able to post straight through my phone...because the full-site version is ridiculous on a phone. the mobile portion is fantastic...but the commenting this would truely add to it.

I was just wondering when this would be available...any input would be appreciated

CB - Nickname for CbDolphin. Has a very kind wife named Mrs.Cb. Both are charmers

I in the Sky - Nickname for Matty because of his ability to be everywhere on Phinsider at once [Rzayo24]

Poo on You - Little Nicky 21's trademarked way to hit on women. Say Poo on You to them and they are yours for the night. Is not to be mistaken with "do me in the butt"

Mauglo - Nickname for MauMontaV5 [Finsxfactor]

True Story - Showing your shared belief in an opinion/ statement/ expression [CbDolphin]

CP10 - everybody's mancrush. This is the nickname for 2008 Phinsider Saviour: Chad Pennington. His contributions have cemented his place in Dolphins history.

RoboBlog- Nickname for Gatorphan, due to his innate ability to unveil posts with largely complicated statistics at an alarmingly rapid pace. [Rzayo24]

AutoBlog - Matty's technique for posting new pieces everyday. 12:15. Never earlier, never later. [Rzayo24]

Nicky Law- With the 75 word limit for a post, if you make up good-for-nothing words or random letters to fill the requirement, the fan post is thereby negligible. [Little Nicky 21]

CKC Corollary - Cool Kid's Club Threads do not have to abide by 75 word limit
Husker Law - No declaring "First!" on your own post. [Husker]

Nicky No Joke Law - If a member of the CKC likes to dish out jokes, but gets butt hurt when they are returned, the whole CKC gets to call him a Nancy. The accused member's slate will be wiped clean after the Nancy'ing. [Little Nicky 21]

Peezy Law - Anyone who leaves a CKC before El Peezy is looked down upon. The transgressor must replace his/her existing sig with "El zzzzzzzzzzzz" for 1 week. This law is not in effect if El Peezy is not present.

Titan Fighter - A person who cheers for more than one NFL team , which is Phan Blasphemy

Red Ex - when a posted picture shows up as nothing...or a red X [Husker]

Carpet Monster - A pregame ritual in which Rzayo would spill heinekin on his carpet as a way to pay homage to the football gods. [Rzayo24]

Hug it out - The only way to solve conflicts [Rzayo24]

TunaFlipper - A ridiculously crazy blogger…who says statements that do not make sense..but we like him anyways.
