The Slipper Still Fits Quiet Kennel

Does anyone think the Kennel is exceptionally quiet as compared to previous seasons?  Previous posts have focused on the student section and their apathy, but the entire crowd seems to sit on their hands more than usual.  Have Zag fans become so used to winning games that we forgot how hard it was for this program to reach its current level? Part of college basketball is home court advantage with a crazy crowd, watch a Duke game for an example of what we should be.

More thoughts after the jump . . . Please read on

The Slipper Still Fits How long does BYU stay in the WCC?

I know BYU is saying this is not a short term deal to stay in the WCC.  However, during BYU's news conference the AD for BYU was asked about how long this would last. The reporter asking the question alluded to BYU joining a BCS conference or the rumored ESPN Super Conference at sometime in the future.  The AD's answer sounded like a typical politician's answer to a question where they do not want to give you the real answer.

I think 5 years may be the max, but the ESPN Football TV contract is good for 8 years. Thoughts?

The Slipper Still Fits Burgess

It would be appropriate for the writers of this blog to post a detailed tribute to Frank Burgess who died today.  Without knowing our past their is no way we can find our future.

He still is the leading scorer for Gonzaga.  I think our current players need some history lessons that include Burgess and the teams that started this magical run.  Include our current fans who need some history lessons to remember where we came from and where we can go.  We only can get there with an appreciation for and respect for the past. RIP Mr. Burgess.

Respectfully submitted,

Frustrated Zag
