Poke away!
In my recent move, I unearthed this gem from a box that hadn't been opened in probably 10 years. I remember my friend giving me this card, but I had forgotten it was signed. If anyone out there has something autographed by Wendel and can give me an opinion as to whether this appears to be his autograph, I would appreciate it.

I see PPP everywhere.
This is neither a photoshop nor a commentary, just a billboard near my shop.
Bird in the hand...
The way I see it, any player that can help the Leafs in 3 or 4 years is worth keeping. (Kabby, Antro) Any player who will be past their prime in that timeframe is worth trying to trade. (Kubina, Blake) My question is, where does Dominic Moore fit in to this equation? Burke says you build a team by placing talent at the top and letting the other players settle into depth roles. I don't think there is any question that Moore is not a top 6 guy on a contending team, but he has done all that has been asked of him and more for this year's Leafs. He is the one Leaf I can say I have never seen take a shift off. (Hagman is a close second) Moore is only 28 and I would think would stick around for a reasonable price and would be a great 3rd liner on an improved squad. So, can we get a prospect or draft pick that will grow into a top 6 guy in 3 years, or do we keep Moore?
Kwestions from a stoopid American
From my screen name most of you can glean that I am from Florida. If you believe a lot of what you read, or most comedians, being from the South means I have an IQ similar to that of a pecan pie. Whether that is true is not the point of this post. That I have questions about hockey and no one to ask or discuss these questions with, is. So, please do a true hockey fan a favor and answer or discuss the following:
#1) Who is the better player, Ovie or Sid? Is there a canadian bias towards Sid?
#2) Right now the Leafs would draft 5th or 6th. Brayden Schenn is projected to go 5th through 7th. Wouldn't it be ultra cool for the Leafs to be lead by two brothers for the next 8 to 10 years?
#3) What is the deal with Jammies and Sexypants?
#4) Kaberle is arguably the Leafs best player. He is signed for the next two years for $4.25 million a year. (cheap by today's standards) In 2011 he will only be 33, which with his non-physical style of play is relatively young. Why not sign him to a 3 or 4 year extension?
Thank you in advance for any light you may shed on these musings, now excuse me, I have to take the 12 kids and my cousin wife to the tractor pull.

Happy New Year to All and let's hope it really is a good year for the Leafs.
