They have been on a descent run.

Jabaar Gafney- Descent player for New England. Now Playing for the Broncos. Not great, but he has been solid.

Andre Caldwell-Again another derscent player, not as much experience as as Gaffney, but hey he caught the game winner against Pittsburgh.

Louis Murphy-Something in me wants to say he just might have a more productive career than Percy. I think he has everything you want in a reciever; size, speed, route running, go getter when the ball is around him. I pray he gets a new starting QB before he really hits stride. Be happy jags fans....we could have Jamarcus Russell.

Percy Harvin-Not much that hasnt been said already. I think it says alot that a rookie is Farve's security blanket.

Note to Gene....Defense

The bigger problem is the Defense. Think about the QB's that have come to fruition in the last 2 years alone. The last 2 years drafts have produced in my own preferential order, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Mark Sanchez, and Matt Stafford as starting QB's. The QB's keep getting better and our Defense has not had continual improvement over the years. With Bradford, Mccoy, Snead and others entering the league it is only going to get worse. Soon teams like Tennessee, St. Louis, SF, Denver and Carolina will be picking up Qbs. Its only a matter of time before 31 Qb's will be picking our defense apart. It would be in this teams interest to ensure that 2010 is a defense heavy draft.

When I originally wrote the SIGN Torry Holt post I was under the false pretense that he was a free agent. Since he has been cut and the opportunity has presented itsself. There was mixed feedback from that post some saying he would be good, others saying that it would be a waste of money. I personally am glad to see that the FO agrees that he would be a good addition. Not something that really has to happen in my opinion but with the Patriots player that was willing to give Fred Taylor his #28 jersey I just wanted to hear what people thought about Mike Walker parting ways with that number. Holt represents a founding member of the "Greatest Show on Turf" but the jags will be signing a shell of his former self. Mike (hope he grows into the SKY nickname) Walker has been identified as someone who has the tools to be a solid reciever in this league. If I were Mike I would say "Torry.... here is your jersey. I am not asking for any monetary compensation. I just want your time. I wanna know what you know so I can perform at a high level as you did. Thats all I ask of you and oh yeah... welcome to Jacksonville."

BCC Mock Draft; with the Fifteenth selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select.....Vontae davis, CB Illinois

As with every other team there are a couple ways they could go. Alot of boards have them going DE. I agree with the idea of putting another monster across from Super Mario, however I believe Houston fell in love with the size (280lbs) and athleticism of Williams so much that future ends for them will be in his mold. Michael Johnson lacks the size and I believe Tyson Jackson (closer to 300lbs) is a little premature for the 15th pick. Clay Matthews would be an upgrade at OLB but in the end the priority placed upon premium positions makes Davis the pick

Apologies to all patiently waiting. My cable company screwed up my service when my roomate moved out. I will be reviewing the previous picks and have my selection on here withing the next 15-20 mins. I didnt wanna write all this but needed 75 words. Cable was in roomates name and when we split the account they thought service here was getting disconnected. Took an hour to turn it off and a day and a half to re-activate.................

Thank You for your Patience

Has anyone else felt like we missed Greg Jones just as much as our depleted O-line. I personally became sick to my stomach watching us line up in single back formations; MJD wasn't as effective as he's capable of being I rarely even saw Montel Owens in at FB. Is he that ineffective that they would go with out him (Owens) ? Did not see Ravens game. I have always thought Jones was a "BEAST" I just regained my appreciation for him.

Would we be interested in TORRY HOLT? He is pushing 30 something, but might still have something left in him. *A semi productive Holt would be an upgrade from our guys* He does everything you want from a reciever (not sure about his blocking) He declined comment on whether he would be in a Rams uniform next season. What would it take to get him if we were interested? Im still bitter about Jerry, but hes nowhere near the reciever Torry is.

Defensive Woes

With disregard to some rescent misguided requests for my immediate dismissal from this forum I dare take another opportunity to voice my opinion. (I have by the way been a JAG fan since their inception)

I don't know if its gameplanning or just QB's taking what our secondary gives them but we allow the most plays over 40 yards as well as 20 yarders during 2008. Without actually looking at the stats any fair weather fan should already know this. Plays under 10 yards in my opinion fall on the corners for the most part. But what sticks out to me is the contrast in Sammy Knight and Reggie "Oh thats my man" Nelson. Last year you grew to expect Sammy to be a liability however he almost always had a brilliant play during the course of the game. This year we woefully wait for the Eraser to erase. To put it in Madden terms we lack "AWR" at the safety position. Sensy has played ok being his first season as a starter but Reggie's bar was set on draft day and he has to prove himself

How say you all......
