The Hornets have made important moves in the offseason, drafting three talented players and making Eric Gordon a restricted free agent. Though the front office is leading the team in the right direction, there are still problems that need to be addressed. As of now, the team has no true centers. The small forwards on the roster are not proven, but they have a lot of potential. The next step in the rebuilding process is free agency. I really like Asik and Javale McGee. Any thoughts on who we should pursue in free agency?

Okay, I know this is very unlikely, but I've learned many strange things happen in the NBA. Here are the steps in the dream offseason plan:

1) Trade Trevor Ariza, Emeka Okafor, Jason Smith, Jarrett Jack, and the 10th pick to Orlando for Dwight Howard.

2) Sign Deron Williams, who is now interested in playing alongside perennial allstar Dwight Howard.

3) Sign Eric Gordon to a long term contract.

4) Select Anthony Davis in the draft.

Now the Hornets' starting lineup is composed of the all-star Deron Williams at point guard, a potential all-star shooting guard in Eric Gordon, the solid small forward Al-Farouq Aminu, the likely rookie of the year power forward Anthony Davis, and the all-star center Dwight Howard. That is a lineup that would instantly contend for a title.
