Ok, so that I'm not actually taking players from another league I'm starting my own diary

The Beer Pong Update

since we're a chill league I thought we could wait until closer to Opening Day for the draft, after all we're Cubs fans, maybe this will minimize starting with injured players.

I'm keeping track of everyone who wants in, I promise, but don't get too worried about needing to figure everything out today, I'll send updates to your emails at least once a week, they haven't even let me start a league yet, we got time.

So if you're thinking about joining, come on over, the beverages are one ice, and there are a few spots left.

Oh, and no I was not joking, I will be handmaking the awards at the end.

bcbflyball (at) yahoo (dot) com

Yes, I'm stealing the Off Base Diary from Julie today. She told us we could on Saturday, so haha, I am. Bring on the flaming.

In Stupid Mets Fans news, did you here about the guy who got banned? Evidently posing as a reporter is a no-no, although how are they mad about him annoying Piazza, isn't that a good thing?

And for anyone out there with Restless Leg Syndrome you might want to be aware of the side effects of Requip. Sure drowsiness, nausea, vomiting and dizziness are pretty much a given, but "pathological gambling and hypersexuality"? Very nice. Not just gambling, pathological gambling.

And my contribution to your useless information education is this site, Random Facts, because you need to know Kermit the Frog is left handed.

Of course I would be remiss if I did not share the Transformers Trailer with you all, the real site has more, but you know, watching it load is boring.

Happy Wednesday all.

Its Friday, which means very little is getting accomplished at offices across America, and even less in mine where the server completely fried and we are waiting for our backup files.

So in my need for distraction I humbly submit this Non-Baseball Diary, sorry Julie, I just couldn't wait.

Here's one of my favorite sites, Found!

And of course good luck to all the runners in Sunday's marathon. I wish I could go cheer everyone on, but I'm not in town, plus I think its going to be cold. Instead I'll sit at home and get the split times on my phone. Much easier to be a spectator when you don't actually have to stand outside and freeze.

The CTA will be adding more service to night games this season as seen here on the CTA website

The purple Southbound line will be going all the way to Addison, and there are more Yellow Line trains from Howard late.

For all the Wrigley goers in the N and NW burbs, I know my dad will be happy.

I think this may be my favorite stat so far this year:

with runners on base, hitting a National League-best .320 (55-172).

And...
Cubs pinch-hitters have started off the season 7-for-17 heading into Tuesday, a .412 average that ranks second in the Majors behind only the Reds, who were hitting .429.

Last night I got to watch my first real time game on tv (and the last for a little while unfortunately) and couldn't have picked a better one.

The game will be discussed all day, but I noticed somewhere in I think the fifth that everyone in the bottom section of the stands were looking up at the aisle behind home plate, including everyone behind the cubs dugout.

Was there a streaker or something?
