Tour of California shaping up Official route details tomorrow.
"Steephill.tv":http://www.steephill.tv/tour-of-california/ has the links, maps and other stories and details while we can expect the official announcement tomorrow at 10:00am local time.
As a side note Clovis, after a successful first year hosting a stage will be left out this time. There is an interesting story about how having the event was very much appreciated on many levels, and the money was nice too. Story is linked at steephill and "here.":http://www.fresnobee.com/local/story/1680832.html
Contrast that story with what the politicians have done in Greenville, SC host of the last couple of national championship races. Rather than reward the events that are bringing in large amounts of revenue they are funneling cash to pet projects. Bradley Wiggins interview from Velonews.
Unpretentious interview where Brad is relaxed and answering some apparently well thought out questions. I got more from this interview than I have from most that I've read. I think Rogers questions were designed well and he was not trying to get a scoop or bait him in any way. Brad responded well and you get feeling for how he enjoyed his year, his team, results from perhaps his first season really focused on road racing.

Pollemica!
Cunego blames team mate.
"I need someone there to help me, I practically did it all on my own,"
You'd think they could have put a better rider at his side.

I wandered into this video about what I think is an amazing achievement; Ciclovia in Bogota, Colombia. Every sunday from 7am to 2pm they close 70 miles/112 Km of roads to cars and open them up to people. People, it's amazing what it does for a city when people get out of their cars, and out of their homes and hit the streets. This needs to happen everywhere ASAP. A film about 9 minutes long, but a worthwhile topic. "here": http://www.streetfilms.org/archives/ciclovia/

I blame the ... Amateur cyclist caught in out of competition test.
A week or 10 days ago there was a featured story about where the kids stand in regards to drug use, and is the situation improving. The USADA went looking for this amateur for out of competition testing, is that a good sign or bad. I'm thinking it's good they caught him and good they went after him and sad there was a need.

Michael Barry and race radios part II. This time it's about the TT.
"If time trialing is a mind game, then maybe you should do it without the voices in your head." From "Velonews":http://www.velonews.com/article/99071/michael-barry-s-diary---radio-ga-ga

Happy 114th Bday "Race of Truth"
Short article from Wired.com Explanation of how the Time Trial came into existence. Great example of how you can't keep a good sport down.

Any body want to watch cycling videos? Or better yet got one you think we should see? World championship theme preferred for this weekend. I'll start with an amateur film with some really cool music, taken from on the course in Barcelona 1973.
