If we don't get the top 2 picks in the draft, do you think the Spurs would be interested in moving Manu Ginobli for a pick in the 3 to 5 range?

Obviously the Spurs are a team that is in need of a roster refresh. They already have Roger, and Manu is injury prone. George Hill looks great, and they still have Bowen that will take up some minutes at a wing position. Plus backup two guards from free agency that fit their system are a dime a dozen (they made SJax and Deven Brown).

Pairing a long, defensive project like Thabeet next to Duncan seems like it would be an ideal jump start to help them rebuild around Tony Parker entering his prime, and an aging Duncan.

Harden, Jordan Hill, and even Earl Clark would also work well for them.

For us, given our recent history we're probably less concerned about Manu's propensity for injury. Even at 31 years old and not playing the full 82 game shcedule, he'd be an immediate upgrade to Nick, DeShawn and Dom.

We could send pick 3-5 to the Spurs along with Etan and Songaila to make the salaries work. In addition to a top pick, the Spurs would get another veteran in Songaila that seems perfect for their system and then Etan will come off their books after next season.

We don't really lose anything since Etan gave us nothing, and as much as I like Darius he's not really necessary if the rest of the team is reasonably healthy.
