Cap room as of Thursday
Mike Florio gives us a look at the Colts cap room. We have $7,925,000 left to spend.
Tony Dungy's thoughts on Plaxico Burress
SS Donte Whitner not coming back to Bills.
The GM and Donte himself are saying that they're going separate ways. From what I see he's a sure tackler, we could really use him at SS. The question is how much would it take?
Need Fantasy Help!
Hey everybody,
I really need your help right now. They've offered me a trade in my Fantasy Football league I don't know what to do!
My team is
Matt Schaub, Matt Ryan
Ronnie Brown, Maurice Jones Drew, Felix Jones
Andre Johnson, Wes Welker, Austin Collie, Michael Crabtree, Pierre Garcon
Tony Gonzalez, Owen Daniels
Bengals Defense
They're offering me DeAngelo Williams and Larry Fitzgerald for Austin Collie...I'm playing a Point Per Reception League, so WR are pretty important, but I don't have any RB depth at all.
It isn't such a no-brainer anymore with Collie playing the way so well, and betraying a Colt is hard for me...
What should I do?
Did Don Brown change his number?
Hey I was just checking out Lovin Blue's Luke Links, and one of them was a video on Melvin Bullit talking about his arrival 3 weeks early for workouts (which by the way sounds pretty good, because he is a RFA). Anyway, I saw just over his head a player tag with the name Brown on it and the number 30 after it. So, as the Colts don't have any other Brown on their roster (at least in their website's list), I would assume that Donald Brown changed his number to 30. I know this isn't big news or anything, but I was just curious about it. He used to wear No. 34 in college, and has worn No. 31 since he came to the NFL. Have any of you heard news about it?
Letting it all out: My thoughts after SB XLIV and the '09 NFL Season
It's hard, you know...Hadn't felt this bad in a while, and I mean it.... As I've told you many times, I live in Costa Rica...and this feeling I've got is something NOBODY understands around here. So, as I can't digest reading the thousands of articles around the internet, or the thousand of broadcasts and TV Shows, all related to last Sunday; I'm gonna tell you my opinion about our Colts season that just ended yesterday, and how I lived it. It may not be interesting, I know, but it's the only way I've got to set all this stuff free, out of me. I know I've made a couple of "funny" articles before, but I'm telling you: This one is not. Sooo...here we go.
T.O. talks about Freeney's injury and compares it with his
Makes me feel optimistic! The Dwight Freeney part is in the last 2 minutes of the video.
Super Bowl XLIV Video
Every year, we have Super Bowl "get together" at my house, and I usually make a sort of video invitation to send to the guests. This year was, of course, extra special since the Colts are going, and I had a real hard time trimming the highlights. I used the song and parts of last year's NBC Super Bowl theme video (Faith Hill's clip) and also took some highlights from NFL.com. Anyway I just wanted to share the video with you, hope you like it...And of course all of you are invited, if you make the trip to Costa Rica.
GOOOO COLTS!
Jerraud Powers didn't practice, Bethea and Clark limited
Jerraud is listed as not practicing with a foot injury and Bethea and Clark are limited with back (remember that interception?) and an ilness, respectively.
The other players who made the injury report, but did participate are:
*RB Joseph Addai (shoulder), DE Ervin Baldwin (shin), MLB Gary Brackett (calf), S Melvin Bullitt (shoulder), RT Ryan Diem (elbow), DE Dwight Freeney (foot), LB Cody Glenn (back), DT Antonio Johnson (shoulder), OT Charlie Johnson (foot), DE Robert Mathis (knee), OG Jamey Richard (shoulder), TE Jacob Tamme (ankle), OT Tony Ugoh (full), K Adam Vinatieri (right hip), WR Reggie Wayne (knee).

Ranking Colts players from 1 to 60
I got this idea from a Miami Herald article in which they rank every single player from 1-60. I made my own Colts 60 player ranking, adding a little bit of humor here and there. I'll give you a penny if you guess who's No. 1.

Patriots at Dolphins
Hey everybody,
Unfortunately,I won't be able to watch the Titans-Colts game this week (alive) because I'm traveling with to Miami with my brother, and we're going to the Dolphins-Pats game. I'll be a few seats over the tunnel where our beloved Patrtiots will come out (and in) and I was thinking about making a sign or something to show my love to Bill Bellichick and Co. Any ideas? It could be like "Going for it again, BB?". I know you are creative, specially when it's something that involves the New England Patriots, so any idea is welcomed. And also, if you see a guy with a Peyton Manning jersey on a Dolphins game near one of the tunnels, that's me! But I kinda doubt it because camera men will look for Dolphins-Pats fans, unless my sign is really funny haha.
Thanks a lot and go Colts!

NFL.com's mediocre training camp preview
I just checked NFL.com's Colts training camp preview and found what in my opinion is a mediocre job.
Here's the link: http://www.nfl.com/trainingcamp/story?id=09000d5d81113675&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true
TOP POSITION BATTLE
Starter still needed in the slot The Colts like three-receiver packages, and the slot job appears to be open. Since Anthony Gonzalez is moving outside to replace released veteran Marvin Harrison, Pierre Garcon and Roy Hall are left to fight it out for the spot. Also keep an eye on outside linebacker, where Freddie Keiaho takes on Tyjuan Hagler for the starting job. Keiaho was cut during the offseason but re-signed, and Hagler couldn't stay healthy last season, missing seven games.
So...Since when is Keiaho starting? Was Tyjuan Hagler a starter last year (except for injury reasons)? Do they know anything about Phillip Wheeler? Did we cut Keiaho?
The rest of the information is "good", but by reading this, I infer that the guy who did this does not know anything about the Colts except for what he read 5 minutes ago. I'm not saying he needs to be an expert, but if you look for Colts' weaknesess and camp battles not only this year but almost every year, you'll find stuff about our LBs...And we've heard a lot about Phillip Wheeler and how he's expected to be a starter this year! It isn't that hard, specially when you work for NFL.com!
KC Joyner's new victim: Joe Addai
Just when we thought it was a personal KC Joyner vs Peyton Manning thing, this guy takes a shot on a second Colts player in one week...Here's what he said:
http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/07/23/a-closer-look-at-addais-productivity/
In other words, it wasn’t Addai’s lack of productivity on busted plays that hindered him — he couldn’t get the ball up the field enough on plays he should have been able to. Some of that is probably attributable to a knee that required off-season surgery, but since the Colts were concerned enough to draft Donald Brown in the first round, I would consider Addai a risky fantasy prop at either the No. 1 or No. 2 running back slots on a roster.
What do you think? Does he hate the Colts? Is he actually true?
Colts WR/TE unit, 15th in the NFL
Check out what Adrian Hasenmayer from Fox Sports.com says about the NFL's WR/TE's units
Costa Rica 3 - US 1
This could be the most off topic post, ever! I Some of you may be asking what am I talking about, but I guess at least one or two of you did watch the game (at least the first minute and a half, before our first goal, HA!).
I think the game showed a superior home team, but that's not even close from meaning Costa Rica is a superior team overall. I think we're a great home team, played very offensively (more than expected), and had a good scheme and game plan. U.S.A. was a bit lost, felt the pressure not only in the first minutes of the game but before, when they entered the stadium; they just couldn't handle it. I was a very big mismatch in that sense. It was funny seeing Landon Donovan's ritual before shooting the penalty kick, and even in this kind of games he shows he's a heck of a player and a leader. In conclusion, United States is still a better team than Costa Rica, but we proved we are for real and a serious contender for participating in the World Cup. FIFA should give us a boost in the next rankings...
What do you think? Don't worry, I expect a lot of "I don't care" replies, lol.
GO COLTS! =)
Colts Website
I visit the Colts official website (colts.com) on a daily basis, as I imagine many of you do. And it is no secret that it just simply sucks, specially if you compare it to other teams' websites (see Jaguars, Dolphins, Ravens, etc). I know it isn't the most important thing or anything, but I'd really like to see an attractive and more easy to use site for all of us. For example, go to "Tickets" in the upper menu and try to click on "Manage your account".It's stupidly hard to do!
I've been wondering if we, as a group of Colts fans, could do something about it. Any ideas?
Gonzo interview, ESPN
ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky is saying Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez is a candidate for "breakout player for '09". Some people said he was a breakout player for 2008; and he was very reliable, but not a STAR. What do you think? Is he going to reach the 1000 this season?
Ellis Hobbs traded to the Eagles
FOXBORO, Mass. -- The New England Patriots traded veteran cornerback Ellis Hobbs to the Philadelphia Eagles for two draft picks.
Hobbs, who started for the Patriots last season, will rejoin former teammate Assante Samuel in the Philadelphia secondary. New England receives a pair of fifth-round picks in Sunday's NFL Draft, the 137th and 141st overall picks.
Analyzing our drafting possibilities, and grading them
Let's imagine it's April 25th at night. The Colts took 2 of these 3 players in the first round: a LB, a WR and a DT. I'll analyze those possibilities LB-DT, DT-LB, WR-LB, etc. and grade them.

Mark Sanchez, the new Aaron Rodgers?
Hey, first of all I would like to introduce myself. I'm Federico Pacheco a diehard Colts fan from San Jose, Costa Rica (Central America)... No we're not a jungle, no we're not mostly a jungle, no I'm not mad lol... That said I just want to tell you I discovered this page like a month ago and I started to visit it on a daily basis, and now I have decided to be a more integrated part of it (assuming you're acceptation). Now let's go to the main topic of this thread, my first thread lol.
